Ein vielfältiges Angebot kennt die Kartli-Region mit Kulturstätten, darunter mehrere historische, kulturelle und Landschaften. Seit der ersten Hälfte des III. Jahrtausends v. Chr. stammt das Gebiet von klassisch bis mittelalterlich, einschließlich und mehrfach verändert. Die Region war die Heimat der Götter und ihrer irdischen Verkörperung – Priester, Häuptlinge und Könige. Jede Schicht des Bodens bewahrt eine Erinnerung an Epochen. Die Region stand über der Kreuzung der Kulturen. Die Bedeutung dieser Verkehrsader war die Verbindung von Ost und West. Auf der felsigen Straße ist noch eine deutliche Spur des Radtransports erhalten, der sich über Jahrhunderte hierher bewegt. Die Region wurde zeitweise vom Mithraismus oder Zoroastrismus beherrscht. Hohe Priester führten hier heidnische Rituale durch. Auf diesem Altar brachten sie Opfer dar, verherrlichten die weibliche Göttlichkeit, entzündeten das heilige Feuer. Während der Tour fortzusetzen.

11:00 Ankunft in Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe ist eine antike, in Felsen gehauene Stadt im Osten Georgiens. Es wurde an einem linken Ufer des Mtkvari-Flusses erbaut, enthält mehrere Strukturen von der frühen Eisenzeit bis zum späten Mittelalter und zeichnet sich durch die einzigartige Mischung verschiedener Felsschnittkulturen aus Anatolien und Iran Koexistenz von heidnischer und christlicher Architektur aus.
13:00 Ankunft an einem Ort zum Mittagessen. Einzigartige Möglichkeit, sich wie ein Einheimischer zu fühlen. Besuchen Sie ein lokales Restaurant und genießen Sie traditionelles, köstliches Essen.
14 : 45 Ankunft im Stalinmuseum. Stalin Museum ist ein Museum, das dem Leben des Anführers der Sowjetunion, Josef Stalin, gewidmet ist. Das Museum bewahrt seine Merkmale aus der Sowjetzeit, Stalins Originalhaus und Stalins Eisenbahnwaggon. Bei Freizeit in Gori (optional) Entdecken Sie die Stadt Gori, die seit der frühen Bronzezeit besiedelt ist. Nach mittelalterlichen georgischen Annalen gründete König David IV. Gori. Die Festung von Gori (Goris Tsikhe) scheint bereits im 7. Jahrhundert benutzt worden zu sein, und archäologische Zeugnisse deuten auf eine städtische Gemeinschaft in der klassischen Antike hin. 16 : 35 Ankunft im Kloster Jvari. Der Name dieses Klosters wird mit "Kreuzkloster" übersetzt. Das Kloster Jvari ist ein georgisch-orthodoxes Kloster aus dem 6. Jahrhundert in der Nähe von Mzcheta. Zusammen mit anderen historischen Bauwerken von Mzcheta ist es ein Kulturerbe der UNESCO. Das Kloster Jvari steht auf dem felsigen Berggipfel am Zusammenfluss der Flüsse Mtkvari und Aragvi und überblickt die Stadt Mzcheta, die früher die Hauptstadt des Königreichs Iberien war.
17 : 25 Ankunft in Svetitskhoveli In Mtskheta. Mzcheta, eine der ältesten Städte Georgiens, wurde von den alten Meschian-Stämmen im 5. Jahrhundert gegründet. Aufgrund seiner historischen Bedeutung und mehrerer Kulturdenkmäler ist es von der UNESCO als Weltkulturerbe anerkannt. Es war die Hauptstadt des frühen georgischen Königreichs Iberien vom 3. Jahrhundert v. Chr. bis zum 5. Jahrhundert n. Chr. Mzcheta blieb jedoch bis ins 19. Jahrhundert als Krönungs- und Begräbnisstätte für die meisten Könige Georgiens erhalten. Die Swetizchoweli-Kathedrale (wörtlich „Kathedrale der lebendigen Säule“) ist derzeit die zweitgrößte Kirche Georgiens (nach der Kathedrale der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit). I really enjoy this trip. Salome is clearly a history buff; I learnt a lot from her. A patriotic Sakartvelorian 😉, her talks were both informative and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the cave city, Uplistsikhe, and Svetitskhoveli cathedral. When I needed a break, we were given free time. I tried pomegranate ice cream and the local wine. I was worried that the day would be too long, but we finished slightly earlier, and we still had ample time to explore. Our driver Gochi was a perfect gentleman. The driving in Georgia is pretty wild, but he navigates the roads like a pro.

We had an amazing time during this tour, specifically because the tour incorporated so many different aspects of Georgian history/culture, we really got a wide insight into this amazing country. From the ancient culture at Uplistsikhe, to the Stalin museum and finally the two absolutely gorgeous monasteries at Mtskheta, we were able to absorb so much. Our guide, Nika, had incredible English and was extremely knowledgeable about every subject he was taking to us about, so his presence really enriched our experience. We can't wait to continue exploring Georgia!
We had an amazing time on the trip to Uplistsikhe, Gori and Mtskheta with our guide Nika! We had just enough time to explore the places by ourselves after Nika's thoughtful explanation. Each place felt unique and our day was filled with history and culture background of Georgia. We appreciated that Nika was our guide in the Stalin Museum as well, so it didnt't feel rushed going through the periods of his life - from birth to death. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in these places!
It was very successful, the guide explained extensively in place, wherever we visited he first explained, then also gave us free time, I felt really good, the guy had answers to everything, and said it was politically sensitive not going into it (as happened to me on other trips)
