Ihre Tour beginnt mit einem Besuch des Thousand Island Lake, der sich im Süden des Bezirks Shiding in New Taipei City befindet. Das von Hügeln umgebene Einzugsgebiet des Feitsui-Stausees bildet die einzigartige Landschaft – ein See mit Tausenden von Inseln, der aufgrund der Ähnlichkeit zwischen den beiden den gleichen Namen wie der „Qiandao-See“ (wörtlich See der tausend Inseln) in China hat.
Das natürliche Terrain und das Klima machen die Umgebung des Feitsui-Stausees zu einem idealen Ackerland für den Teeanbau, darunter Wenshan Baozhong-Tee und Dong Fang Mei Ren-Tee. Auch die Bagua Tea Plantation befindet sich in dieser Gegend. Von der Spitze des Hügels aus sehen die ordentlich gepflanzten Teereihen genauso aus wie die Symbole der acht Trigramme, daher der Name. Sie machen hier einen Zwischenstopp und genießen die atemberaubende Aussicht auf die endlosen Reihen von Teepflanzen inmitten der sanften Hügel um Sie herum.
Ihre Tour wird mit einem Besuch des Pinglin Tea Museum fortgesetzt, einem Gebäude im Hokkien-Stil im Siheyuan-Stil (viereckiges Hofhaus), das die traditionelle Behausung Taiwans charakterisiert. Das Museum verfügt über eine reichhaltige Sammlung traditioneller Erntewerkzeuge und -geräte, Teegeschirr, Teeproben und vieles mehr, die Sie über die Geschichte und Entwicklung der taiwanesischen Teeindustrie erfahren. Darüber hinaus bieten die AR-Inhalte immersive Erlebnisse, bei denen Sie mit den Exponaten interagieren und die Welt des taiwanesischen Tees besser verstehen können.
Da Sie sich in Pinglin befinden, verpassen Sie natürlich nicht die Gelegenheit, den authentischen taiwanesischen Tee in einem örtlichen Teegeschäft zu probieren. Der Besitzer des Teegeschäfts gibt eine Einführung in taiwanesischen Tee und zeigt Ihnen, wie Sie den Tee richtig aufbrühen, um die Aromen der Teeblätter hervorzuheben. Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Teeproben zu probieren.

We got soaking wet in a downpour which added to the fun. The lakes area is beautiful and the tea drinking was enlightening, and delicious.
Molly was a great guide to a relaxing tour of Thousand Island Lake, tea fields nearby, a visit to the Pinglin Tea museum, & a tea tasting session at a tea shop run by two brothers in their 70’s. It was wonderful to leave the crowds of Taipei for a few hours & enjoy the scenery in a lush & mountainous rural area. Molly guided the group through much of the tea museum & then gave us some time to explore on our own. Learning how to prepare & tasting three types of local tea was enjoyable too.
From Taipei you quickly arrive in the totally different world of the mountains and discover the ancient traditions of fine tea with all your senses. Great experience!

We had a fantastic tea tour today. Our guide David was so knowledgeable and friendly explaining about the area, tea culture and the history. He explained lots of things for us on the way too and from the area as well. The tour gave us a great introduction to the Thousand Island Lake area and Taiwanese Tea. The museum was very informative and our guide did a great job of leading us through it. The tea tasting was a wonderful experience- learning about the ritual and background of tea growing - it was fun and great to meet a family who have been involved in the tea business for generations.

This is a bus tour out to Pinglin with stops to view the mountainside tea plantations. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made for a very positive experience. The mountainside stops are outstanding and the tea presentation was educational and tasty. Definitely worth the price for an evening tour.

We drove through the mountains and saw the tea terraces with mountains and a winding river as the backdrop. We learned about the leaf hopper insect that makes the tea sweeter and guarantees that no pesticides can be used. The tea museum was very interesting, and there is a nesting area for egrets and other interstellar birds near the museum. Then we had an amazing experience learning to enjoy tea with a tea master. Grace was a great tour guide!
