The drive to and from and visit to Castelmola.Scenery was lovely and road impressive. However, the driver gave us not much info on the history and architecture etc and it seems there was no water in the van and air conditioning was insufficient.
Dear Geri, I'm so sad for your review, also because it's not correct. The water was on fresh in the fridge, we always keep it there for you, and I told you I had a water, maybe you didn't hear it or didn't understand. You always said to me to speak louder due to hearing problems, maybe I didn't do it enough, and the same about informations you asked. Maybe you was searching for a local guide, but you didn't book a licensed local guide. About the air conditioning, you traveled on a Mercedes V-Class, it's the most luxury Van existing, you had independent AC behind to can set as you liked. And furthermore I took you to beautiful panoramic places that were not included in the tour, like the "Madonna della Rocca", where I risked to damage the van if you remember. I'm very sad that you didn't understand that I did my best to make you have a nice day, but I promise to you that I'll try to do it better next time... Sincerely, Stefano
Stefano picked us up at the Messina Port in a comfortable van. He took us to Taormina & Castelmola while stopping at beautiful viewpoints for pictures along the way. We had some free time for shopping in Taormina. We saw Mt Etna 4 days before it erupted! Stefano is a great guy so when you book it see if you can get him. We had such a wonderful time.
We visited Messina on a cruise and this tour allowed us to see some of the key area highlights in a limited time. Stefano was our driver and met us at the port. He suggested we first visit Castelmola, which is small but has stunning views. After that he drove us to Taormina and left us to explore the town on our our own at our leisure. We had lunch and shopped there and also took the cable car to Isola Bella. It was a lovely day and having our private car and driver was a great way to access these beautiful locations on a tight schedule. Stefano was also proactive with communication which I really appreciated.

Our tour guide, Stefano, was very kind and had a lot of interesting knowledge about the entire island! I learned so much from his tour and all of the historical sights from our drive! Very good!
