Hier haben Sie freie Zeit, um das römische Amphitheater und das beeindruckende und feierliche griechische Theater zu bewundern, das größte der Insel und eines der größten der Welt, das vollständig in den Felsen gehauen ist. Sie können auch das Ohr des Dionysius besichtigen, eine künstliche Höhle direkt unter dem Theater. Es wird wegen seiner Ohrform und auch wegen seiner akustischen Eigenschaften so genannt. Anschließend bringt Sie der Fahrer zur Insel Ortigia, dem antiken historischen Zentrum von Syrakus. Der erste Halt wird im archäologischen Park von Neapolis sein. ein Unesco-Weltkulturerbe. Hier können die wichtigsten Überreste der antiken griechischen und römischen Stadt besichtigt werden. Das griechische Theater, das römische Amphitheater, die antiken Steinbrüche, das Ohr des Dionysos und der Altar des Hieron sind nur einige der Denkmäler, die sich in dieser großen Grünanlage befinden
Die Geburtskathedrale der Heiligen Jungfrau Maria befindet sich im höchsten Teil der Stadt und ihre Fassade vereint Barock- und Rokokostil.
Am Eingang der Insel Ortygia werden Sie vom Duft aller Gewürze, Chilischoten vom Ätna, Mandelkuchen sowie Meeresfrüchten und frischem Fisch begrüßt. Eine schöne Gelegenheit, unsere lokalen Produkte kennenzulernen und neue sizilianische Rezepte zu lernen.
Die Überreste stammen aus dem frühen 6. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und ragen heute inmitten eines Gartens hervor, der die gesamte Landschaft noch spektakulärer macht.
Es liegt im ältesten Teil von Ortigia. Dies ist ein eindrucksvoller Wasserspiegel, der durch üppige Papyruspflanzen noch spezieller wird. Es ist auch der Ort, an dem die Legende von Aretusa und Alfeo spielt.
Auf dem Archimedes-Platz befindet sich ein monumentaler Brunnen von Giulio Moschetti, der die Göttin der Jagd, eine antike Beschützerin von Syrakus, darstellt.

Andrew our driver was a lovely young man. Felt very safe with his driving. The Necropolis was very interesting and Ortega is beautiful. Make sure you take a hat and lots of water as it was very hot in both places.
A great trip. Costa was friendly, professional and informative. It was a very comfortable drive and then we got to explore ourselves and make the most of our time.

I highly recommend this private transport service from Taormina to Siracusa and Ortigia with drop-off in Catania!
