Bereiten Sie sich auf ein unvergessliches Erlebnis vor! Unsere Tour beginnt in Messina, dem antiken „Tor zu Sizilien“, wo Geschichte und Moderne, Legenden und Traditionen, Widerstandsfähigkeit und Schönheit miteinander verschmelzen. Nach unserem Treffen können Sie bei einem Spaziergang entlang der malerischen Straße, die am sichelförmigen Hafen entlangführt, die Statue der Madonna della Lettera bewundern, der Schutzpatronin von Messina, die alle willkommen heißt, die auf dem Seeweg ankommen. Von hier aus beginnt unsere Reise zu zwei Juwelen unserer Region: Castelmola und Taormina.
Unser erster Halt ist das bezaubernde mittelalterliche Dorf Castelmola, das auf einem Hügel thront und das Panorama überblickt! Castelmola, einst Standort einer alten normannischen Burg, ist heute bekannt für eine der einzigartigsten Bars der Welt: die Bar Turrisi! Ein authentisches sizilianisches Wahrzeichen, bekannt für seine einzigartige Einrichtung. An dieser Stelle wollen wir innehalten und die kulturelle Bedeutung der ikonischen Phallusformen, die als Bardekorationen verwendet werden, näher beleuchten. Sie sind alles andere als vulgär, sondern vielmehr eine lebendige Hommage an die altgriechische Kultur und symbolisieren das Wesen von Freiheit, Fruchtbarkeit und Leben. Dies ist der perfekte Ort, um ein Glas des berühmten Mandelweins zusammen mit köstlichen sizilianischen Cannoli zu genießen.
Unsere Reise wird mit dem Abstieg zur berühmten „Perle des Mittelmeers“ fortgesetzt: Taormina. Der Eingang befindet sich am historischen Torbogen Porta Catania. Sie tauchen ein in die reiche Vergangenheit der Stadt und erkunden das spektakuläre griechisch-römische Amphitheater (Eintrittspreis nicht in der Tour enthalten), ein Meisterwerk antiker Ingenieurskunst mit atemberaubendem Blick auf den Ätna und das Meer, und begeben sich anschließend zum prächtigen und zauberhaften Lady Florece Trevelyan Public Garden. Anschließend schlendern Sie entlang des Corso Umberto, der lebhaften Hauptstraße und des antiken Decumanus, und werden von eleganten Boutiquen, quirligen Cafés, malerischen Gassen und historischen Gebäuden umgeben sein, die das wahre Wesen der Stadt bewahren. Nach unserem Besuch in Taormina kehren wir nach Messina zurück, wo Sie, sofern Zeit und Energie es zulassen, das historische Stadtzentrum und insbesondere den Glockenturm des Doms bewundern können, der eine der größten und komplexesten mechanischen und astronomischen Uhren Europas beherbergt. Bei Ankunft im Hafen von Messina werden die Reisenden am Gate 5 empfangen. Einer unserer Fahrer wird sie mit einem Schild mit ihrem Namen darauf begrüßen. This was our second visit to Sicily, and there was never a question about who we wanted to spend the day with. We had a perfect day! We docked in the port of Messina and spent the day with Alessandro and Marisa. They could not have been more accommodating. They explained everything and had so much patience with us. It felt like we were hanging out with friends and family. This has been the highlight of our trip. We had the absolute best time in Sicily thanks to Alessandro, Marisa and Massimo! Marisa and Massimo took us to Taormina, Castelmola, and a last minute beach stop to swim. As we drove we learned wonderful things about our surroundings and the history of each stop. We enjoyed sampling the special food and drink of Castelmola and Taormina--each recommendation and offering by Marisa was amazing and delicious! Marisa took us on a walking tour through Castelmola and Taormina and it felt like a special time of learning from an old friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with them both! And as a special bonus, Marisa sent me pictures afterward that were the best pictures of my husband and me from our entire trip! She is a gifted photographer too! You will not regret spending the day with Marisa and Massimo!
We just had a lovely day with Alessandro in Sicily today. He collected us from our cruise ship in Messina and took us to Taormina. Showing us sights along the way. He was waiting for us well before we docked. He kept in contact with us when we had free time so we never had to worry about a thing. He was professional and really knows his way around Sicily. Marisa from Booking Sicily Yours was absolutely amazing. The pick up from our cruise ship was seamless. Right there at the end of the pier. Communication was also excellent. We got on a very spacious air conditioned van. Marisa brought us to Castelmola as our first stop with views of the smoking Mountain Etna. So cool. We went to a very “unique” bar where we tasted cannolis and “shots.” The views were amazing but be prepared to walk up hills and steps to get there. We then headed to Taormina which had amazing shopping and even better restaurants. We had plenty of time there. Marisa gave us a lot of information, made sure we were all comfortable, always made sure she did what the group wanted and even gave us a little keepsake at the end of the trip. We were back to the ship in plenty of time. What a great day in Sicily. We would recommend this trip to anyone (as long as you are good with a lot of walking).

We booked our trip after seeing great reviews for Alessandro. They were not wrong ..from start to finish he and Marisa were excellent. My mother needs a wheelchair to get around and they insisted on pushing her and took their time with her. Marisa was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts and history but more than that she was so lovely and it was so easy to get on with her. I cannot say enough good things about them both and would thoroughly recommend anyone to book with them.
