Die Tour beginnt am Kreuzfahrtterminal in Richtung Castelmola (ca. 45 Minuten auf der Straße). Castelmola ist ein kleines Dorf auf der Spitze von Taormina mit herrlichem Blick auf den Ätna. Nach etwa einer Stunde fahren wir nach Taormina, einer der schönsten Städte Italiens, nur zu Fuß erreichbar und voller Geschäfte und Restaurants. Nach etwa 2 bis 3 Stunden kehren wir nach Messina zurück, allerdings nicht ohne eine schöne Panoramatour über die Isola Bella. Als letzten Halt besuchen wir das Heiligtum Christi des Königs, einen Aussichtspunkt über der Straße von Messina, und den Dom, wo Sie die größte astronomische Uhr Europas bewundern können. Der Fahrplan ist darauf ausgelegt, Ihre Zeit auf Sizilien optimal zu nutzen und pünktlich zum Kreuzfahrtschiff zu sein.

We toured with Paria (tour guide) and Alberto (driver) from “Best Sicily Excursions with Alberto.” It was outstanding! We were met promptly at the docks and they had a comfortable van for the six of us with cold water and AC. We also had some members of our group who are mobility impaired and they were very patient and helped us get into and out of the van at every stop. Paria spoke excellent English and was very fun and personable. We clicked right away. We arranged to go to Castelmola and Taormina but they were very flexible if we wanted to stop or divert to see something. Paria had a deep knowledge of the history of the area as well as the that of every place we visited. She stayed with us the entire time to ensure we did not get lost and provided background information at each site. While Messina was technically not on the tour, they brought us to the Doma and fountains and told us all the details. I would highly recommend this tour.

Oleksandra and Angelo were very good, but the shock absorbers on the van were very bad, resulting in a rough ride from Messina to Castelmola and back, making it difficult to enjoy the scenery.
We're really sorry if the road scared you a little. To get to Castelmola, a small medieval village, the road has a few curves, but we always try to drive as carefully as possible. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the day, as I could see from the photos.

After lunch, we met our driver and headed to the marina, where we were welcomed aboard by our boat captain and crew for an unforgettable afternoon on the water. Everything was seamless, well organized, and exceeded our expectations. This was truly a top-10 vacation day for our family.
