Amer Fort (häufig auch als "Amber" bezeichnet) ist ein Fort in Amer, Rajasthan, Indien. Amer Fort, so wie es jetzt steht, wurde während der Regierungszeit von Raja Man Singh, dem Kachwaha King of Amber, über den Resten dieser früheren Struktur errichtet. Der Bau des Forts begann im Jahre 1592. Die Struktur wurde von seinem Nachkommen, Jai Singh I, vollständig erweitert. Noch später erfuhr Amer Fort in den nächsten 150 Jahren Verbesserungen und Ergänzungen durch aufeinanderfolgende Herrscher, bis die Kachwahas 1727 während der Zeit von Sawai Jai Singh II. Ihre Hauptstadt nach Jaipur verlegten .Amer Fort ist für seine künstlerischen Elemente im Hindu-Stil bekannt. Mit seinen großen Stadtmauern und einer Reihe von Toren und gepflasterten Wegen blickt das Fort auf den Maota Lake. Dieses prächtige Fort besteht aus einem weitläufigen Palastkomplex, der aus hellgelbem und rosafarbenem Sandstein und weißem Marmor erbaut wurde.

Great experience. Damo drove us where we wanted and showed us the flower market. He added some explanation to the tour so that we learnt some things. He was also attentive to us during the heat pic.
