Wir verlassen Maskat zu Jabal Shams, bevor wir nach Jabal Shams fahren, machen wir einen Halt, um das alte Dorf Wadi Ghul zu sehen, das 2000 Jahre alt ist und am Fuße des Berges Ghul liegt und auf Ihrem Weg nach Jabal Shams zu sehen ist, es wurde von seinen Bewohnern verlassen und niemand blieb darin, es wurde aus festen Steinen gebaut.
Von dort geht es weiter zum Jabal Shams (Jabal Mean Mountain, Shams Mean Sun), diese Bergstraße fährt hinauf zum Jebel Shams Mountain (The Grand Canyon of Oman) 3009 Meter ist es einer der abenteuerlichsten Berge im Oman, bietet spannende Offroad-Erlebnisse und fantastische Aussichten, erreichen wir die Schlucht Aussicht, die 2000 Meter ist, die wir dort stoppen und wir genießen die Aussicht und das Foto.
Von Jabal Shams fahren wir hinunter ins Wadi Al Nakhr. Wadi Al Nakhr ist weithin bekannt als der Grand Canyon des Nahen Ostens mit seinen wunderschönen Sehenswürdigkeiten und einer spektakulären Aussicht, deren Name vom lokalen Wort (Nekrose) abgeleitet ist, das den Prozess der Felsskulptur bedeutet «Erosion», da sich das Wasser dieses Tals im Laufe der Zeiträume bildete. Wadi Al Nakhar ist aufgrund seiner geografischen Eigenschaften eines der tiefsten Täler im Oman. Die große Lücke in Jabal Shams gilt als die wichtigste Wasserquelle, da ihre große Öffnung zu Tälern und Riffen führt, die das Tal von Al Nakhar bilden.
Von Wadi Al Nakhar fahren wir in Richtung Misfat Al Abriyeen. Dieses malerische Dorf liegt an einem steilen Hang am Fuße des Jebel Shams und besteht aus alten Häusern und engen Gassen. Es hat ein Falaji-System für viele Obstgärten, Dattelpalmen und Gemüse, es lohnt sich, einige Zeit im Dorf zu verbringen. Von Misfat Al Abriyeen Zurück zu Maskat

This is an excellent tour for anyone looking to explore the area around Al Hamra. We booked it mainly to get to Jebel Shams, since most tours pair it with Nizwa, which we had already visited. We’re very glad we chose this one as both Wadi Nakhr and Misfat al Abriyyin turned out to be well worth the stops. Our guide, Ali, was extremely friendly and shared lots of knowledge about Omani culture, history, and hospitality, and we were especially impressed by his off-roading skills. Despite covering many locations, the trip felt very accessible and comfortable throughout.
