My husband and I booked this private tour with Gabriel to take the cable car up to Table Mountain. We elected to purchase the fast track passes, and were glad we did. The queue was quite long so very happy to be able to whisk our way right up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more beautiful scenery! Gabriel was a pleasant, nice, helpful guide and gave us good suggestions without being pushy. He was a welcome companion as we walked around to the various scenic overlooks. He also had a nice car and drove well. We would definitely recommend this tour, and especially Gabriel.

SCAM ALERT - Do not book! We booked a tour for three people covering Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap, and Signal Hill for $159 USD each. We were picked up by a tour guide, Samuel, who barely spoke to us - he then very recklessly drove us to the mountain, sent us up the cable car, and then hurriedly ran off, leaving us there by ourselves. No tour, no guidance, just dumped there. Then, when we came back down, he told us he was taking us back to our hotel - so, no Bo-Kaap or Signal Hill. We could have just booked the tickets ourselves and gotten the free shuttle or an Uber for the same exact experience. We were really confused and messaged the tour operator, who admitted that they had another group on the mountain who needed to be taken back - so I guess that's why Samuel was driving so recklessly and abandoned us. Then, Samuel claimed we'd asked to be taken back to our hotel instead of going on the rest of the tour because we were tired - a total lie. HYM then offered us a 75% refund - but only for 2/3 of us, for some reason? When I asked for the refund for all of us, or at least a refund minus the cost of the cable car tickets, they refused and stopped responding. I'm now appealing with Viator and my credit card company. This company is shady, dishonest, and completely unwilling to provide the experience they promise. I can't imagine why there are any good reviews - perhaps they're fake? Don't fall for it; book elsewhere or risk being ripped off like we were. You've been warned.

🚨 SCAM WARNING 🚨 We booked a tour for three people for $159 USD each that was supposed to include Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap, and Signal Hill. No guided tour, no commentary, nothing. Just left us there on our own. When we came back down, Samuel told us we were being taken back to the hotel. The rest of the tour was simply skipped without notice. When we contacted the company, they told us that they had another group on the mountain who needed to be taken home - so I guess that's why Samuel was driving so recklessly and ran off so quickly. Then, Samuel claimed we'd asked to be taken back to our hotel instead of going on the rest of the tour because we were tired - a complete lie. The company eventually offered a 75% refund, but only for 2 out of the 3 of us, with no reason why. When I asked for the 75% refund for all of us, they stopped responding entirely. We’re now escalating the issue with Viator and our credit card companies. ⚠️ Do not trust HYM Cape Tours. They're dishonest, unprofessional, and clearly not interested in delivering the "hassle-free" experience they promise. I can't imagine why there are any good reviews - perhaps they're fake? Save yourself the stress and disappointment and book elsewhere.

Communication before the tour was excellent. I got picked up in time from the hotel. Ivan my tour guide was exceptionally personable and knowledge about Cape Town and its rich history. He provided a wonderful tour of Table mountain with lots of interesting information about Table mountain and surrounding sights including Lions head, Devils peak and signal hill. We also went through Signal hill and Bo-Kaap. An overall wonderful experience. So glad I took the tour. A+

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, it was a personalized trip with a pickup and drop to hotel and overall the guide was really helpful, polite and friendly and helped me have a great lifetime experience

明るく陽気で易しい英語を話すガイドのイヴァン35歳。WhatsAppで連絡とりながら安心のお迎え、出会い。 俺たち夫婦だけだったので、4時間くらい専属ガイドとして付き合ってくれた。 テーブルマウンテンのツアーだと思ってたら、「その後どこ行くかい！？」なんて、スズキの乗用車でsignal hill などガイドしてくれた。「船の酒が高いので安い酒買いたいんだ」と頼んだら「OK,おれも家飲みのワイン買うから行こうぜ！」みたいな感じで日本にもあるような大量酒専門店に連れて行って貰えた。そこで船の1/3の値段でブランデーを3本買えた。大成功。 彼の会う人はみんな「ブラザー」。「母は違うけど兄弟なんだ！」なんて陽気に顔見知りに挨拶してた。見習いたいね。 彼のおかげで楽しい1日だった。 最後に車を降りて、5分後に車内に忘れ物した事に気づき、WhatsAppで連絡したらすぐ戻ってきてくれ事なきを得た。「謝るな、俺が確認しなかったのが悪い」なんて、クールだった。 ありがとう、楽しかったよイヴァン！ Ivan, a 35-year-old guide who speaks bright, cheerful and easy English. Welcome and meet people with peace of mind while contacting us on WhatsApp. It was just me and my wife、so he accompanied us as an exclusive guide for about 4 hours. I thought it was only a table mountain tour, but "Where are you going after that!?" What, he guided me to signal hill in a Suzuki passenger car. The ship's alcohol is expensive, so I want to buy cheap whisky" I asked, "OK, I'll buy wine to drink at home, so let's go!" I was taken to a large-volume liquor specialty store like in Japan. So I was able to buy 3 bottles of brandy for 1/3 of the price of the ship. Great success. Everyone he meets is "Brother". “My mother is different, but I'm a brother! “ How cheerfully he greeted acquaintances. I want to learn from you. Thanks to him, it was a very fun day. Finally, when I got out of the car, I realized that I had left something in the car 5 minutes later, and when I contacted him on WhatsApp, he came back immediately and got nothing. “Don't apologize, it's my fault that I didn't check it," it was cool. What an amazing tour. Excellent knowledge, safe, reputable and reliable. Would highly recommend to anyone who is coming to Cape town.
