Susi was a great tour guide. I was privileged to get to ride in a smaller group with her. She was clear, direct, informative and funny. Would love to take another tour with her in the future. The only bummer at the saltmines is that youre not allowed to take photos inside. You get 2 pics taken of you and/or your tour group for purchase.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Susi and appreciated her informative, engaging, and humorous guiding style. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her – she'll be thrilled to hear them. We also understand your disappointment about not being able to take photos inside the salt mines. Unfortunately, this policy is set by the salt mine operators and is beyond our control. We hope the memories – and perhaps the official photos – will still serve as a great reminder of your experience. We'd love to welcome you on another tour in the future!
The tors and tour guodes were great. However, I was expecting one long tour with an opportunity to have a relaxed lunch between activities. Because it was essentially two separate tours on the same day, there was little to no opportunity to eat and I felt rushed at each stop.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed the tours and found both guides to be great. We understand your expectation of having one continuous experience with enough time for a relaxed lunch break. Our program is designed as two separate tours on the same day, which allows guests to experience more highlights, but we appreciate that this can sometimes make the schedule feel a bit rushed. Your comments are valuable to us, and we will take them into account as we continue to review the timing and overall flow of our tours. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
As a life long fan, the sound of music tour is a lot of fun. The guide, Mitch, was funny and full of energy. Def recommend.
Jose and Galinda were our tour guides and they were great! The Sound of Music tour stopped at several places, and we were able to see so many of the places where it was filmed. We also learned more details about the Von Trapp family. We also did the salt mine tour which is a lot to do in a day, but we like to paxl ot in. I'd highly recommend both tours!
We did the salt mines & sound of music tour in one day. It is actually on two coaches, first off to the salt mines with a well informed guide and then an hour in Bertchesgaden, to have some lunch or just wander round. Then back on the coach to the start point, where we boarded another coach for the Sound of music tour. It was good fun, with a bit of a sing song along the way!
This was one of the highlights of our time in Salzburg. Really enjoyed the salt mine. Our tour guide was awesome and I loved shopping in the smaller village. The SOM tour was so fun! Jose was amazing. Fun and knowledgeable! Highly recommended this tour.
Thank you very much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear that your time in Salzburg was one of the highlights of your trip and that you enjoyed the salt mine experience, the SOM tour, and exploring the smaller village. It’s also wonderful to know that Jose made such a positive impression with his knowledge and enthusiasm. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in Salzburg in the future!
Both great tours. Our teens enjoyed them too. Tour guides were very knowledgeable about each location.

We had a wonderful experience!! They switched around our two tours due to weather and everything worked out so well. April and Eric were fabulous. I would highly recommend doing the combo tour.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear you had such a great experience on the combo tour and that the adjustment of the itinerary due to weather worked out smoothly. It’s fantastic to know April and Eric took such good care of you. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in Salzburg soon! Warm regards, Your Salzburg Panorama Tours Team
The salt mines were a pleasant surprise. I had no idea how interesting they were. Though they caught us VIPs, I felt like an outsider because I did not speak German. The real bonus was the historical knowledge of our guide. He was able to show us things about Hitler and the Nazi party that I have never heard before. By itself, that was a tour worth doing. The sound of music tour was fun, but since I don’t know all of the words to the songs, it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a great way to experience Salzburg.
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the salt mines and found our guide’s historical insights engaging. It’s wonderful to hear that, overall, the combination of tours gave you a great way to experience Salzburg. Warm regards, Your Salzburg Panorama Tours Team
The Sound of Music portion was excellent in that is was informative and entertaining. Our guide was welcoming and made the attempt to know each of us (cannot remember his name but he was originally from Australia). We will always remember him singing songs from the movie as we drove to the places where the movie was filmed. He seemed to enjoy his time with us. We were told to meet the group at 0815 and the tour really started at 0914. The bus driver was skilled. We could not believe how he maneuvered the sharp turns and curves! We appreciated the breaks and opportunities to walk. The Salt Mines portion was a nice roadtrip with good information along the way. The underground tour was led by a miner who was proud of his occupation and the mine itself. The boat ride across the underground lake was beautiful. I was nervous about the slides into the lower levels but they were fun and safe.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted you enjoyed both the Sound of Music and Salt Mines portions, from the singing and storytelling to the scenic underground lake and fun slides. Our guide and driver will be thrilled to hear your kind words. Warm regards, Your Salzburg Panorama Tours Team
