Nightmare. Drivers that can’t drive. Drivers who that are rude. Buses that are in need of repair. Avoid at all costs

This bus tour was horrible. However, before going into the horror story of our experience, let me note that there are two RED Hop On Hop Off bus lines in Copenhagen. One that is City Sights and the other that is Royal. This review is about the Royal bus tour that is run by Gray Bus Lines. It is almost impossible to tell them apart. The “Royal” Gray Bus Lines HOHO tour is a complete disaster. We paid and then boarded the bus at Tivoli Garden and then were told that it would be 30 minutes before the tour started because the driver was on his lunch break. The tour started 30 minutes later as warned. Problem 1: about a third of the sound modules that you plug your earphones into were broken. Problem 2: when we stopped at the little mermaid we were told that we would be there for 5 minutes to allow people to get off the bus to take pictures. We were stopped there for 20 minutes in intense sun and everyone on the top deck was calling for the driver to start moving. I think he was either drunk or high, but either way he was not responsive. Problem 3: the driver could did not know how to stop the bus. At every stop, he would pump the breaks and the passengers would be thrown forward and then thrown back multiple times before the bus stopped. Problem 4: when we decided to get off the bus after it stopped at a site, we got onto the stairs and the driver accelerated and then braked. This resulted in me falling down the stairs and my wife being thrown into the hand rail. I was not injured, but my wife was hurt quite badly. We later found out that she had broken a rib. Problem 6: We did get off the bus after I yelled and my wife screamed. But when we went to get back on the bus shortlyly later we were told that this bus was out of service as the driver’s shift was over. However, he did agree to take us to the starting point for us to catch another bus. Problem 7: However, he didn’t do this. He just stopped at a random place and told us to get off and take a city bus back. Whatever you do, avoid the Gray bus line.

Great sightseeing, just...

Great sightseeing, just be aware sometimes the buses leave before schedule and it is another 30 mins till they come around again, especially the Little Mermaid stop, said he would wait 5 mins while everyone took a picture, but was gone before any of us got back

Not very informative ...

Not very informative Seemed to take a long time, but didn’t see much. Would have been better exploring on foot or bicycle

Avoid all costs.

This was horrible. Waited at several different stops for a long time and no bus ever came. Then we finally got to one where the bus came and it just drove right by. It didn’t even slow down. I tried to get a refund, but was denied. Horrible horrible experience.

Not worth it

We had to wait for two different busses over 60 minutes at the first pickup spot, obviously they dint have enough drivers Several roads closed in Copenhagen so the bus had to detour around Not worth the $96 we paid for two people, we only did 1 go around then gave up and got off walking on our own

Copenhagen Classic Canal Tour With Guide - actually my review is about this canal tour, it started raining and the tour guide covered herself first with umbrella and raincoat then gave us raincoats about 15 minutes after it started raining, we were all drenched, there were old people and kids on this tour. when i asked the guide if they would let us take the tour again the following day, she abruptly said no!!!! i contacted both viator and the local company AND THEY WERE POINTING FINGER AT EACH OTHER, TELLING ME TO CONTACT THE OTHER, UP TO NOW, I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE FROM EITHER, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

Not recommended - service was aweful

Shocking - earliest bus we could get from the port was around 10.30am in the morning, so we had already lost a couple of hours of potential sightseeing. When we eventually departed the ship, there were long queues and they were only loading one bus at a time! When on the bus, some of the automated ear piece 'sightseeing commentary' were either not working or there was a significant lag in describing sights we had already passed. Our bus also missed stops as it was full, so people waiting at bus stops were unable to board. Due to this, passengers were fearful of getting off as there was no guarantee they would be able to get a seat back on another bus as they all appeared to be full. For the price being charged, this was extortionate in our opinion and did not offer the service we were expecting. We will never travel on any hop on / hop off bus service in the future.

Efficient way to see Copenhagen

Great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. I only had a day and I went on all 3 lines and the main line twice. Started around 10:30am, finished around 4pm.

Not enough buses in service

There were not enough buses in service on a bitterly cold wet day on May 16. We waited 45 minutes in freezing cold rain while one City Sightseeing bus which was too full for us to get on and 4 buses from a competitor went past. Once we were on the bus, the experience was very good and the drivers were friendly and informative.

Great experience. The...

Great experience. The only problem was that our ear phones didn't work well and missed some of the audio from the tour.
