Während des Besuchs in Santo Domingo machen wir einen Halt im Nationalpark Los Tres Ojos, wo wir eine etwa 45-minütige Tour machen und die drei Taino-Höhlen und den vierten See besuchen werden. Calle Las Damas war die erste Straße in Santo Domingo, der Dominikanischen Republik und Amerika. In der Kolonialstadt gelegen, verdankt es seinen Namen der Tatsache, dass zu Beginn der Kolonie die Damen diese Straße entlanggingen, die heute mit Kolonialfliesen geschmückt ist. Diese Straße hat Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Fortaleza Ozama, La Real Audiencia, das Haus von Don Rodrigo de Bastidas (heute das Kindermuseum „Trampolín“), Kolonialhäuser (teilweise mit Kolonialschilden) und am Ende die Plaza España. Die Calle Las Damas war die erste Straße, die in der Kolonialzone angelegt wurde, die während der Regierung von Nicolás de Ovando angelegt wurde. In dieser Straße ging es von der Ozama-Festung oder dem Torre del Homenaje in die Nähe des Alcázar, die herum begonnen wurden 1511. Der Alcázar de Colón oder Vizekönigspalast von Don Diego Colón ist ein Palast an der Plaza de España in der Kolonialstadt Santo Domingo, Dominikanische Republik, der an einem Ort in der Nähe der Klippen mit Blick auf den Ozama-Fluss gebaut wurde, der Diego gewährt wurde Kolumbus, ältester Sohn des Entdeckers Amerikas, Christoph Kolumbus, von König Ferdinand dem Katholischen, um für ihn und seine Nachkommen ein Heim auf der Insel Hispaniola zu errichten, die er 1509 als Gouverneur erreichte und wo er derzeit das Alcázar de Colón Museum beherbergt funktioniert. Das Gebäude war eines der letzten von den Spaniern auf dominikanischem Boden errichteten Gebäude. Das Datum des Baubeginns ist nicht mit Sicherheit bekannt, aber einige Historiker vermuten, dass es zwischen 1714 und 1755 war und Jerónimo Quezada y Garçon zugeschrieben wird. Ursprünglich diente sie als Kirche des Jesuitenordens. Hier hielten die Jesuitenpriester die Messe mit dem Rücken zur Gemeinde, sodass alle, einschließlich der Priester, die Gestalt von Jesus Christus und den Altar anblickten. I believe this trip was well planned within the scheduled time. However, I have a few concerns. First, if they will NOT speak English, do not advertise that you provide guides in English. We didn't understand most of the guides because they spoke Spanish, and we had to ask for explanations in English throughout the trip constantly. At Los Tres Ojos park, Juanito said Learn Spanish’ then moved on to the next stop. Second, please provide the expected return time to the meeting points. I could have taken my time to explore more if I had known I would have to wait for others for more than 15 minutes. Third, scheduled restroom breaks should be included during the trip. After visiting the Cathedral, David said, "Bathroom at the next stop." We didn't have a restroom break at the next stop. The next restroom break was at the gas station, about an hour later, passed Juan Dolio, which had one restroom for males and females. There were almost 50 people on the bus, and then the driver rushed us to leave.
They were late picking us up. When we finally left late from where we transferred to the larger bus we were passed by every vehicle on the rd. The lunch was terrible. Everthing was slow including the tour guide who knew everyone so he spent extra time talking instead moving things along. We are currently almost 11 hours into the trip and still not even close to getting back. The bus is packed and uncomfortable. I wish we had never booked this excursion. What a waste of a day!
En ingles: Very unprofessional service, they arrive 1 hour later than anticipated and had us waiting in the lobby of the hotel, dissapointed. They sent a separate driver and when we arrived at the location to get on a different transport they did not even know where they had to take me and kept asking for payment. Servicio muy poco profesional. Llegaron una hora más tarde de lo previsto y nos hicieron esperar en el vestíbulo del hotel. ¡Qué decepción! Enviaron a otro conductor y, cuando llegamos al lugar para tomar otro transporte, ni siquiera sabían adónde llevarme y seguían pidiendo el pago.
Was never picked up … very disappointed … contacted the company multiple times to no avail..refund requested.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. THE WORST! THEY CHARGED US AND GHOSTED US! I booked this tour 4-5 days before. It was supposed to be my cultural day and we were very excited for it. They had a list of hotels where to meet, my resort was not in the list so I had to pay for transportation to get to the Hard Rock Hotel. The night before I messaged this “company” through TripAdvisor and they didn’t reply. The next day, my friend and I went and they NEVER SHOWED UP. The taxi driver, who charged us $35 dollars, called on his cell phone and through WhatsApp and they never answered. Still we waited in front of the hotel in front of the highway, 2 women for a bus that never showed up for over one hour in the middle of nowhere in the Dominican Republic!!! I genuinely can’t believe that TripAdvisor and Viator are associated with this company. I tried to call them and messaged them through WhatsApp and TripAdvisor and nothing! They charged us, never showed up, and put us in danger. Thank God thy I had service so I called Viator. They attempted to communicate with this “company” and they wouldn’t reply to them either. Angelica, the representative, was very concerned for our safety because we were genuinely STRANDED in front of the highway. She tried to find transfers to our resort and she couldn’t. She said nothing was around there, so we had to figure it out ourselves. I went and talked to the security guards, who wouldn’t let us into the Hard Rock Hotel because we were not staying there, but they fortunately could get us a cab. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t know what we could have done! We had to pay $35 to go back to the hotel with a HORRIBLE experience and knowing now that we cannot rely on TripAdvisor to make our tours. I have requested a refund and also a reimbursement for the transportation I had to pay for no tour. I also would like TripAdvisor to not work with this company, I can only imagine this happening to others that don’t have service and don’t know Spanish, putting people’s lives in danger!!! WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve had with this website and a “tour company” and I’m an experienced traveler. Please Viator stop putting this “company” as a choice for anything or even be linked to it. As women this is even worse. I wish there was a negative zero to give!

They never come pikc us up , we wait for the bus for 45 minutes and never came, and charge us the money and dont want. To refund us ! Il was a tour to st domingue a punta cana

We were picked up from hotel at 7:30 am and were dropped off at hotel after 7:30 pm. In the morning, we were taken to 2 gas stations before we boarded the big tour bus and set off for Santa Domingo at 8:45. We had one bathroom break, which was at a roadside shack. There was no toilet paper or running water, and we couldn't wash out hands. It was "sold" to the group as a "very affordable" tourist stop, but the prices were high and the merchandise dusty. We got to Santo Domingo at 11:30 and the stop at the cenote was 45 min, nice and informative, though you cannot explore on your own. We were given photo stops at Columbus Lighthouse and Presidential Palace. The lunch began around 1:30 and lasted under an hour. The food was bland, and they ran out of food for our group of 45. Tour of colonial city began around 2:30, which includes at 20 min stop at a gift shop. Cathedral was beautiful, good guided tour. There was about 15 min of free time in Columbus Square, then we headed to National Pantheon, which was informative. We left the city at 4:30, so 2 hours only in the city center. Restroom stop on return home was at a proper rest stop with clean facilities and refreshments. We arrived back in Punta Cana around 7 pm, and then there was more chaos organizing the rides back to hotels. A very historical, informative day, but it would be better on a more organized, smaller tour. We paid $69 pp for our tour, but others on our bus had paid more/less with different providers. I think all of the providers cooperate to fill a bus, so I'd recommend booking the cheapest provider. You'll get the same tour.

The tour of Punta Cana itself was lovely--interesting and comprehensive with a great lunch and a terrific tour guide. However, the logistics were challenging. I was picked up very early from my hotel only to wait at a rest stop for over and hour for a secondary transport to Punta Cana. At the end of the tour, we waiting over 30 minutes for our ride home, and the driver inexplicably stopped, parked, and got out of the van and disappeared for another 25 minutes. By then I'd called an Uber to the spot where he abandoned us and paid for my own right home. Quite confusing, mixed experience.

Long excursion because of the distance but really enjoyed it . Learned quite a bit about the culture. The staff was great .
