The Mutianyu Great Wall Daily Shuttle Bus Tour was absolutely fantastic and worth every penny! Our tour guide, Michael, was amazing — super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. He shared so much interesting history and fun facts along the way, making the ride informative and entertaining. The Mutianyu section of the Wall is stunning, and much less crowded than other parts, so you really get to soak in the views. The buffet lunch included in the tour was delicious, with a great variety of local dishes — definitely one of the best meals I had on the trip! And the toboggan ride down the wall? So much fun! A thrilling and unique way to end the climb, and something I’d highly recommend doing. This tour is perfect for anyone looking to explore the Great Wall with ease, comfort, and a bit of adventure. Don’t miss it!

Good organization, useful for visiting the Great Wall quickly. The guide only gives some general information, more related to how to organize rather than historical/architectural notions.

The tour to the wall was great, the lunch stop was delicious, and our guide Linda was super helpful and knowledgeable, she really went above and beyond to make our trip and our broader stay enjoyable. Definitely recommend this section of the wall to people wanting to see the wall on a short trip, it’s stunning and not at all crowded and provides a decent walking challenge but without being too strenuous. If anything I wish we’d had longer at the wall, so if you’re short on time book this group tour, or if you have longer book a private tour (the same company also does private tours) to have as long as you like there 😊

When I decided to buy this tour it was because they let you stay in the great wall 4 hours to be at your own and have your time to appreciate it, and after that only visit the jade store I was ok with that, but... They where late 30 min to pick me up at me hotel because the others where late, first red flag then when we arrived to the great wall the tour guide explain to us that it will be better if we took the cable car instead of the tobogán (after I realized that she told us that because it was fast to finish and then go to another place) we didn't stay in the great wall the time that the tour said and they where rushing us to go to a tea ceremony thing that it wasn't included and I didn't want to go. At the end I enjoy being in the great wall but I will not recommended this tour because they don't give you the things and time that says in the description

I was a first time China/Beijing solo traveler looking for an inexpensive and non-intimidating way to travel to Mutianyu, which is exactly what this tour provided. I booked this tour after I arrived in China but a few days before the tour date. I did have to call the night before about pickup confirmation since I hadn’t heard anything from anyone, but they were very nice on the phone and let me know shortly after the call when my pickup time would be. The next morning I was picked up by Leo & the bus driver (they were running late due to the first pickups having canceled last minute, but no big deal). I was first on, and we stopped twice to only pickup 3 others. Looked like the bus could fit about 25. Leo spoke to us for a moment about some Beijing history on the way. We stopped at a Jade factory before heading to the wall, and if you’ve been browsing tours on TripAdvisor/Viator you’ve probably seen mentions of stops at jade/silk/pearl/tea places- this is just something you have to put up with on tours like these. I didn’t buy anything at these places since they’re ridiculously overpriced and only meant for foreign tourists. But I did find it entertaining to look around. From there we went to the wall. Entry to the park is included with the tour price, but you have to purchase your ticket for either the cable car (enclosed) or ski lift/toboggan to actually get up onto the wall. I went for the ski lift up, toboggan down, it seemed like the most fun and it was the cheapest at 120RMB total. You tell the tour guide which option you prefer and give them the cash, then they purchase the park entry tickets and lift tickets and direct you how to get to the lifts. You then have about 4 hours to get up, explore the wall, and come back down to the meeting point. Then it’s back on the bus to be dropped off at your hotel again. I was dropped off around 3:30pm. For about 20 USD this tour is a no brainer. Just book it.

We had an amazing time David our guide was full of information, not just about the great wall but Beijing and the best places to visit. We had 4hrs on the wall that gave us plenty of time to slow down and really enjoy it. Also had enough time to sit and have a beer. Lunch is not included but it was nice to sit on the top of the wall and enjoy our own packed lunch. This was a great way to see the wall and would recommend it to anyone. My only negative thing was we stopped at the jade factory it was very interesting but we were followed the whole time in the shop and were been pushed to buy something we just walked out and sat outside and waited for the rest of our group.
