Dieses Erlebnis findet nicht in einer Touristenküche statt, sondern in meinem Privathaus in Palermo. Das ist keine Show: Das ist echte Küche mit authentischen sizilianischen Rezepten, lokalen Zutaten und der Atmosphäre einer königlichen Familie. Dreißig Jahre lang war ich in der Haute Cuisine in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt tätig, darunter auch in den renommiertesten Sternerestaurants. Ich war Küchenchef bei nationalen Fernsehsendungen (Rai 1) und bin Autor zweier Kochbücher. Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen, zu meinen Wurzeln zurückzukehren und die Türen meines Hauses für diejenigen zu öffnen, die Sizilien erleben und nicht nur schmecken wollen. Jedes Gericht erzählt eine Geschichte, jede Geste hat ihren Wert: Hier kochen wir, hier essen wir, hier unterhalten wir uns, hier lachen wir. Es ist eine Erfahrung, die auch das Gedächtnis nährt. Sie werden hier keine einstudierten Texte oder Verstellung vorfinden, sondern Spontaneität und Herzlichkeit, genau wie im Haus eines sizilianischen Freundes. Ich werde euch beibringen, was ihr in Büchern nicht findet: die Gerüche, das langsame Tempo, die Dialektwörter, die vom Teig schmutzigen Hände. Für ein paar Stunden tauchen Sie vollständig in die sizilianische Kultur ein.

Andrea was such a nice host, he gave my boyfriend and I lots of cooking techniques and Sicilian cuisine’s history insights. We loved the entire experience as Andrea is a lovely person to talk to, with a lot of patient and passion for food and cooking. It felt like we were a part of his family when we were eating together and talking. We enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to people who wants to learn about Sicilian cooking or just to have fun with a brilliant, kind person. Andrea gave us the perfect experience!!

Palermo Sicilian Cooking Class with a Well-known Italian Chef This was one of the most incredible experiences of our family Italy trip! Not only was the food was incredible (and I will absolutely be making it at home on repeat), but Andrea and his beautiful family were kind, gracious, funny and welcoming to each member of my family. He made a special point to help my youngest (who is 12 and not confident with a knife)! All the kids participated (16, 14 and 12)! When we left they went on and on about how fun it was and that they wanted to do a cooking class as a family again! As a mom, this was a huge win and my heart was filled with joy knowing this moment will live on in each of our memories forever! And every time (I try) to recreate this delicious meal I will think of Andrea, his beautiful and gracious wife and talented son and how they made our trip that much more special! Thank you! Extraordinary and authentic Sicilian evening in the comforable Palermo home of a highly experienced Local chef. We were involved in the entire process from cutting vegetables, to making pasta from scratch and even making cannoli shells to fill with the sumptuous ricotta. The best part is eating your creation with a variety of local wines and then amaro or limoncello for dessert. Andreas and his wife were incredibly inviting hosts. A must do for foodies who like to see and smell the aromatic ingredients and learn some helpful cooking techniques.

We had the best time cooking a Sicilian meal with Andrea and his family! He was so energetic and excited to share his knowledge about food and Sicily. On top of this, the food was absolutely amazing and their kindness was unmatched. This was the BEST activity we did during our stay in Palermo!!

This was a very unique cooking class. We arrived at his home in Palermo and were greeted by him and his family. There were only 4 of us total taking the class, so it was very easy to receive feedback and additional instructions when needed. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained why we were doing certain things, not just how. We made an appetizer, primi, secondi, and a dessert, then all had dinner together with his family. Great Palermo experience!

This was simply an amazing experience! Straight from the start you are welcomed in the home of Andrea and Alessandra (and son Marco), and within minutes they make you feel so welcome, like you feel you are with friends. The workshop itself is good. You prepare a 4 course meal under guidance of Andrea. All in a very relaxed, but educating, way. Seeing Andrea work is amazing, you can see the skilled chef he is. After all the preparations are done. Andrea does his finishing touch and serves the food. For us, this was the most fun experience in our Sicily holiday.
