SINTRA Tour (ganzer Tag)

I had wanted to just visit the Sintra area and not surrounding coastal areas so this was the perfect tour. Fernando helped us navigate thru the confusing Sintra palace tour itinerary of where to start and where to meet him at each location. This helped greatly as the area is so hilly and walking paths are so steep. We enjoyed our day and felt we had adequate time at each location even though it was so crowded at Pena Palace and in the town of Sintra, but as we found out throughout Portugal, this is the norm. Having picked us up at our hotel, on time, and listening to stories and facts about the area and Portugal, as he drove us to and from Sintra I would highly recommend Fernando for your touring needs.

This was our first time hiring a private tour guide and I can tell you that Fernando made our trip to Portugal the best. We used him for both our transfers to and from the airport and then again for two different day tours. It was so good to not have to worry about where we were going. Fernando was so knowledgeable and told us the history of the places we visited. As he said we come as strangers and leave as friends.

Fernando was amazing! He was very communicative about our itinerary. He arrived promptly on the day of the tour. We learned so much about Sintra as he was driving. At each stop he was careful to tell us where to meet him after our tour was done and he communicated with us on Whatsapp to help us when we got lost. He suggested an amazing lunch spot in the heart of downtown Sintra. When we told him we had dinner reservations in Lisbon that evening he was able to adjust the tour to our needs. When he found out about the rest of our travel itinerary in Portugal he typed up a list of helpful tips and suggestions for each spot, which was so kind! More than anything, Fernando was simply a joy to have as our guide. We came away feeling like we’d made a friend in Portugal!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our time with Fernando! He was so knowledgeable, accommodating, informative and kind. He enjoys his work and loves sharing Portugal with you! His recommendations were perfect, he really understood what we liked to do. He showed us so many wonderful views and his recommendation to visit the Pena Palace first was the right call.

The tour was amazing from beginning to end, despite the rain, we took advantage of all the little pieces of Sintra from the melhoe way that could exist. The city is wonderful, the palaces, amazing and the hospitality and courtesy of Fernando were the cherry of the cake.

Smooth from start to finish, great communication, best experience of our entire trip to Portugal. Our guide was passionate about his country and it showed in the quality of the tour.

Sintra is a must visit town and the palaces are wonderful. I am really glad I took this private tour - I could take all the time I wanted and having a driver familiar with the maze of one way streets that make up Sintra wad a godsend
