Our tour of Sintra with Van Go Tourism was unforgettable. Nuno noticed our reluctance to take photos and selfies so he would put out his hand and say, “Give me your phone”. He captured the most remarkable moment when we walked the wall of the Pena Palace as he made a video of us circling the wall then recording a panoramic view of the skyline. He was walking backwards while we gripped the wall moving forward! His photo-taking skills are spectacular! Nuno gave us the most memorable visit in photos and videos. Just when we thought he couldn’t give us more personalized attention, he went above and beyond once more. While visiting Quinta da Regaleira we were in queue with a group of boisterous young visitors. Knowing my husband had difficulty hearing with his new cochlear implant in that environment, Nuno politely asked the group to quiet down so my husband could hear everything Nuno was describing to us. Service and attention to detail doesn’t get better than that. Throughout the trip, he introduced us to the historic charm and rich history of the country, weaving everything we saw into a moment when we realized our visit to Portugal with Van Go Tourism was now at the top of our “favorites” list. We cannot say enough about how outstanding our experience was with Van Go Tourism. I had no idea what a great tour this would actually be! Bernardo did a terrific job, very friendly and knowledgeable. Pena palace, moor castle, and regaleira were all amazing!

We had an incredible tour in Sintra. From the moment we were picked up to the drop-off, the entire experience was seamless and truly enjoyable. Our guide Susana was absolutely amazing! She is genuine, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much in just one day. She is also a wonderful storyteller who managed to keep my two boys engaged and intrigued throughout the entire day! This is our first visit to Portugal, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this beautiful country and its warm hospitality than our day with Susana!

Maria and our driver Miguel made the day special. They tailored the tour to our needs as my husband walks a little slower. They were very accommodating. They also made a great suggestion for a pastry in the morning and the story behind the pastry, and Miguel suggested a place for a quick lunch. Center was like Disneyland for adults and Maria was very knowledgeable about the history about the town the castles everything. We definitely got our moneys worth.

We had amazing experience with Susana! She was extremely knowledgeable and warm and great with my family and kids. Everyone had a great time and Susana and the company went out of their way to accommodate our needs with the grandparents and young kids (we had 20 month old and 4 year old) and my mom has a weak knee. When we’re back in Lisbon we’ll definitely book again!

Our Sintra tour guide, Rui. was exceptional—patient, informative, and attentive. They made history come alive, answered all our questions, and went out of their way to capture wonderful group photos. The entire experience exceeded expectations and made our day truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Susana was fabulous! She was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. She ensured we had the best experience possible.

Susana was our guide and she immediately bonded with us like family. She is great with children. We took our 10-year old daughter and Susana told us local legends, and stories of her upbringing in Portugal. She entertained our daughter the whole time. She is very knowledgeable of the history of Portugal, and the sites we visited. She made everything make sense and answered many questions we had. At Sintra’s Pena Palace, she got us there before the crowds arrived and was able to take numerous family photos before the swarm of tourists. We will forever treasure the photos she took of us. She surprised us with a Sintra Pillow dessert for an after lunch treat. Our daughter also really loved the grounds of Quinta da Regaleira and the towers and walls of the Moorish Castle. If we ever return to Portugal, we will definitely use this company again and ask for Susana!

Nuno is an experienced tour guide and we benefited from that for a great experience at Sintra. He is a source of both knowledge and humour. He was a wonderful person to spend the day with, like traveling with an old friend. Highly recommended

We traveled with Nuno to Sintra, Nazaré, Cabo da Roca, and then to Porto. An incredible guide - completely dedicated to his profession, very friendly, smiling, honest and always ready to tell more and more. The best restaurant we had lunch at in Portugal was chosen by him.
