Am frühen Morgen Abfahrt nach Sigiriya (ca. 4 Autostunden) und Besteigung der Sigiriya-Felsenfestung aus dem 5. Jahrhundert. Sigiriya, wo der König Kasyapa regierte. Gehen Sie durch den Eingang, der von den Pfoten eines Löwen eingerahmt ist, der für seinen Namen "der Löwenfelsen" durchaus angemessen ist. Sehen Sie sich die wunderschönen unverblassten Wandbilder an, die Sigiriya berühmt gemacht haben. Steigen Sie die steile Treppe hinauf, um die terrassierten Gärten und noch funktionierenden Zisternen zu sehen. Gehen Sie durch die Tunnel, die zum Palast führen, und erleben Sie vergangene Zeiten.
Betreten Sie die historischen Höhlen des Goldenen Tempels von Dambulla aus dem 1. Jahrhundert vor Christus. Sehen Sie sich die alten Wandgemälde an, die die Lebensgeschichte von Lord Gautama Buddha darstellen. Schauen Sie sich die Hunderte von Buddha-Figuren und anderen Gottheiten an, die in den fünf Haupthöhlen verteilt sind. Besuchen Sie die Höhle des göttlichen Königs, die Höhle des großen Königs und das große neue Kloster. Bewundern Sie die riesige goldene Buddha-Statue ein Stück außerhalb des Höhlenkomplexes. Nach Abschluss dieses Besuchs werden Sie zurück zu Ihrem Hotel gefahren (ca. 4 Autostunden).

Booked this tour after searching in Google and TripAdvisor. The Guest Relations Manager, Mr. Aashik followed up the very soon and thoroughly informed us about the tour. Our tour guide Mr. Ferose picked up at the promised time. Guided to the places explaining about what to do and not to do. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped at few places for local street food delicacies as well. Would like to thank both for arranging such a wonderful tour for such genuine Sri Lankan hospitality.Would definitely recommend.
Long trip from Colombo, a lot of driving but Shiraz our driver was excellent despite the rain and mad drivers! He got us there and back safely. Sigiriya was amazing, beautiful place and the guides were excellent . Highlights also the Herbal ‘farm’ and Village . Everyone was friendlly and knowledgeable , nothing was too much trouble.

This is more like a chaffeur service than an actual tour. First, the tour operator contacted me if I could pay in cash. I refused since I have already paid online. Second, they have not provided any other service other than send a driver. They also added some side trips such as that of a “spice plantation” which does nothing but extort money from you. Third, I was left on my own devices when I reached the sites in Dambullah and Sigiriya. You have to pay entrances and pay for your own guides. Nothing in this tour has any value added. i was not even offered water. My driver though was a good local who at least offered me some coconut water. He was polite and conversed well.

The tour was really fun with going up Sirigiya rock and hearing the stories about the history! The ride with Mr Aswar was very smooth and he organized a side-visit to one place after the request! Being in Sri Lanka for only one day this was very much worth it, and they offer options for elephant safari and feeding as well!

We just got back from our honeymoon and Sri Lanka did not disappoint! I actually worked with Kingfisher Tours on 3 different days and they very reputable to work with and deliver everything possible to make sure you're taken care of. We stayed in Colombo so did a Tuk Tuk tour of the city with ANWAR who is fantastic. I would specifically ask for him. We then travelled to Kandy (with ANWAR) for a day to ride elephants, visit the tea factory and visit the Temple of the Tooth. We stayed one night in Kandy and then traveled (with ANWAR) again to to Sigiriya to see hike the Rock Fortress and go on a safari. This was a long day as we had to get back to Colombo to fly out the next morning. I learned alot and would definitely change my itinerary if I knew then what I know now. We started in Chicago and flew to Doha for 4 nights then 6 nights in Sri Lanka and 6 nights in the Maldives. We should have skipped Doha and just stopped at Doha airport and kept going to Sri Lanka. Stay in Sri Lanka for 10-12 nights and move around every 2-3 nights as the country has so much to see but it's very spread out. Then I'd still do the Maldives for 5-6 nights. Heaven on earth. And then on the way home we should have broke it up. It simply takes too long to leave the Maldives and get home. In hindsight we would have flown to Istanbul and stayed for a few nights and then flown Istanbul to Chicago. Regardless of your itinerary... VISIT SRI LANKA AND LOOK UP KINGFISHER TOURS!!!
