Die Anstrengung hat ihren Lohn, den Kontakt mit der Natur, in der Nähe der Stadt Quito und bei der Ankunft am Rucu Pichincha beobachten Sie die Erwartung, die dieser Vulkan bietet. Es ist ein guter Ort, um sich an die Menschen zu gewöhnen, die zum Wandern und Trekking in die Berge Ecuadors kommen. Wir holen von Ihrem Hotel um 9h30 morgens in Richtung TeleferiQo von Quito ab, wo unser Abenteuer der Vulkan Ruco Pichincha steht.

Das Abenteuer beginnt am Morgen um 9.00 Uhr. Wir besteigen eine Kabine der Quito-Seilbahn, die uns zum 4100 Meter hohen Cruz Loma-Hügel bringt, wo Sie die Stadt Quito vom nördlichen Teil bis zum östlichen Ende beobachten können südlicher Teil.
Wir werden ungefähr 4 Stunden wandern, die Landschaften des Andenparamos überqueren, wir werden durch die scharfen Felswände des Rucu Pichincha gehen, was auf Quechua "alt" bedeutet Noch eine Stunde und schließlich erreichen wir 4784 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel den Gipfel des Rucu Pichincha.

Fantastic ride on a cable car for about 15 minutes, through the clouds up to over 4000 metres. Fabulous walk to do at the top, if you have time and can manage the altitude. The coca leaf tea in the cafe definitely helps. A few gimmicky things at the top such as the opportunity to where a poncho and have your photo with a llama, and a swing that feels like it's on top of the world. I recommend going in the morning as it tends to get cloudier in the afternoon. Wrap up warm as it's also very chilly (we got hailed on!)

The cable car ride to higher elevation provided us with amazing views. We were fortunate to have good weather for most of the trip! Our guide Ricky was knowable and took great care of us. He even provided us bananas and stretching before the hike!!

Pedro & Carolina great team. Touched base before as cable car not operating. Turned up on time. I was very slow as struggled to acclimatise and Pedro very sensitive to that. Lunch was fresh healthy and filling. Thank you!! Transport was excellent too. The hike was super challenging but I did it!! And feel so great about that. Highly recommend

Me and my husband hiked volcano Pichincha and loved every minute if it. The entire hike there and back took about 5 hrs. Going down was much faster of course. The challenging hike in high altitude took our breath away but so did the views around us! Our guide Pedro is a person that absolutely in love with his country and with the job he does! He throughly explained us things about Ecuadorian volcanoes and nature. He knew the trails to adjust the routes to the suitable level if difficulty. Pedro made sure I got out safely of couple scary for me situations ( turns out I am afraid of heights lol). Before the hike started Pedro kindly provided us with local fruits and snacks which turned out vital to keep us going with this strenuous activity! In addition, it turned out while we were focused on our high altitude survival, Pedro took amazing pictures of us! Highly recommend this tour with Pedro and would absolutely do it again!
