Wir holen Sie von Ihrem Hotel in Stone Town ab und fahren für eine Führung zur Gewürzfarm. Hier erfahren Sie mehr über die Geschichte der Sansibar-Landwirtschaft, können Früchte und Gewürze probieren und haben die Möglichkeit, einige davon zu kaufen.

Gewürze und Kräuter wurden ursprünglich im 16. Jahrhundert von portugiesischen Händlern nach Sansibar eingeführt und aus ihren Kolonien in Südamerika und Indien gebracht. Diese Tour ist eine Wanderung in einer Gewürzfarm (Shamba). Dort werden Sie sehen, wie die Gewürze, Kräuter und Früchte wachsen und angebaut werden. Ihr Reiseleiter wird beschreiben, wie die Pflanzen in hausgemachten Mahlzeiten verwendet werden können. Sie riechen und schmecken Gewürze, Kräuter und tropische Früchte wie Nelken, Zitronengras, Muskatnuss, Zimt, Kurkuma, Vanille, Kokosnüsse, Papaya, Chili, schwarzer Pfeffer, Jackfrucht, Kardamom, Maniok und Orangen. Die Tour endet mit einem Stopp an einem Gewürzstand, an dem frisch verpackte Gewürze verkauft werden (nur Barzahlung).

The tour is good and educational, but the place is very basic, no wash room . Nothing . Nothing more They keep mentioning that it’s a community and non governmental farm and tourist need to tip and buy their product. Then I realized their products are all double priced
Nice walk where we discovered plants, trees and spices. Nice little hats that the guide made for us out of palm leaves. On the other hand, purchases at the store have no interest. We were very disappointed because the spices have absolutely no taste. Same for the tea which even tastes rancid... even though the seller had given us a sample which smelled very good. We were also a little annoyed by the seller who refused to give us prices. We got the overall amount a little steep, but hey we tell ourselves that it keeps the locals alive…

Sachant que les Spice Farms sont uniquement gérées par les locaux, nous n'avons pas beaucoup de contrôle sur les produits qu'ils vendent au magasin. Nous prenons note de l'examen du magasin et discuterons avec les locaux pour nous assurer qu'ils améliorent l'emballage, ce qui aurait pu faire perdre aux produits leurs saveurs d'origine.
