Nach diesem Erlebnis werden Sie San José absolut lieben. Unter der Leitung junger Biologen entdecken Sie die Natur, die sich mitten in der größten Stadt Costa Ricas verbirgt. Sie werden mit allen Sinnen eine Tierwelt erleben, von der Sie nicht gedacht hätten, dass sie nur wenige Minuten von der Innenstadt entfernt existiert. Wir sind eine Organisation namens Oropopo Experience, deren Ziel es ist, die Art und Weise, wie Tourismus in Costa Rica betrieben wird, zu verändern und gleichzeitig junge Wissenschaftler, Forscher und lokale Unternehmer zu unterstützen. Zusätzliche Bemerkungen: ** Von Mai bis November empfehlen wir die Buchung des Vormittags-Slots, es sind aber auch Nachmittage toll. • Die einzige Wandertour durch die Natur in San Jose. • Erkunden Sie zu Fuß mit einem ortsansässigen Biologen einen der letzten grünen Flecke der Stadt. • Sehen, riechen, schmecken, berühren und hören Sie die Natur. • Finden Sie auf dem Campus farbenfrohe Vögel, essbare Pflanzen und eine wilde Faultierpopulation. • Ein Prozentsatz der Einnahmen geht an Funga Conservation, eine gemeinnützige Stiftung. • Eine Kleingruppentour mit maximal 10 Personen sorgt für ein intimes Erlebnis

Reiseverlauf
Wir besuchen den Campus der Universität von Costa Rica, der einige der größten Waldgebiete im Großraum San José beherbergt. Bei unserem ersten Stopp werden wir nach einheimischen Vögeln und Zugvögeln, unglaublichen Insekten sowie erstaunlichen Pflanzen und Blumen Ausschau halten. Wir werden über Kunst, Geschichte, indigene Kultur und vor allem über die Natur sprechen. Anschließend besuchen wir den Hauptcampus, wo wir nach frei lebenden Faultieren suchen und hoffentlich sogar die beiden verschiedenen Arten sehen, die in unserem Land leben. HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS: Dies ist keine Recue Center- oder Sloth Sactuary-Tour. Man darf sie nicht anfassen, wenn man sie findet, sieht man die Faultiere in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum, was bedeutet, dass sie die meiste Zeit auf den Bäumen schlafen. Dennoch ist unsere Erfahrung in San Jose die beste Option, wenn Sie ein echter Naturliebhaber sind. Dies ist eine 2,5-stündige Wanderung, einige Abschnitte werden intensivem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt sein. Kein schwerer Spaziergang, aber bitte berücksichtigen Sie Ihre körperliche Verfassung

On our first day in Costa Rica rather than having a rest day we booked this tour and it was a great introduction. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were a bit uncertain about doing a nature tour in the centre of the city but we saw loads of things (including sloths!) and learnt a lot.
Priscilla was a delight! So informative & patient with our group. I've learned so much about Costa Rica & its beauty & truly want to learn more!
Our guide was very kind and took the time to explain everything to my group. He accommodated me even though I was late due to bad traffic. I learned a ton of things in a short period of time and got to see the sloths! Our guide used a telescope so we could view the sloth better! I highly recommend booking this tour!

The guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter and I learned so much during the walk. We ended up seeing a sloth which was exciting but even if we hadn’t I would still highly recommend this walk. It makes a difference when the guide clearly cares about nature.
During our stay in San José, we wanted to experience some of the local nature and, if possible, see sloths. Sara was our guide, and she was absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly kind, friendly, and easy to talk to, with a great sense of how to connect with the group. She was always helpful and accommodating. Sara is genuinely passionate about nature and wildlife, and that enthusiasm shines through in the way she shares her knowledge and stories. Even though it was quite cold and for a long time it seemed unlikely that we would spot a sloth, she never gave up looking. Thanks to her persistence, we were lucky enough to see not only a sloth, but also a mother sloth with her baby. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys learning fascinating stories and interesting facts about nature.
Talio took us on an amazing tour through the beautiful university! We learned so much about the local wildlife, from the fruits growing across the campus to the animals and insects that make it possible. On our trip Talio spotted sloths, including a mom sloth with her baby! Talio set up the telescope so we could get a great view and even helped take pictures using the scope for us 🦥💕
Our guide was excellent and gave great information about the plants and trees. We saw a sloth and many birds.
