Reiseverlauf

Liza was a wonderful and informative guide. It was extremely cold, frigid even, but she kept our spirits up and as we walked, looked for the sunniest spots to stop in.
Thank you so much for the great feedback. We'll definitely pass that on to your guide. Safe travels.
We had a wonderful tour of Salzburg with Carolin through Insight Cities - small group (also recommended), just me, my wife and Carolin. Her knowledge of and enthusiasm for the city was infectious.
Thank you for taking the time to review. We're proud to work with such terrific guides. Hope to see you again on Insight Cities tours in Berlin, Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg. Please tell your friends!
We had a great tour of Salzburg old town with Lisa! We were the only persons in our small group tour, so she customized it to what we wanted to see and learn about. Lisa was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged with the history, rumors and the exciting events and people of historic Salzburg!
Thanks for your review! We're so glad you had a wonderful time in Salzburg!
Klaudia was a great guide! We loved the tour and the history of the city. Just what we were looking for!
Thanks for your review! We're so happy you enjoyed your tour with Klaudia.
The visit provided was exactly right: right level of information on Salzburg, precise History references, a very nice guide, helpful and adapting during a very bad rainy day: a great moment. Just a side note: our guide was not an historian, and it should not be marketed that way. This did not diminish the pleasure of the visit.
Thanks so much for the review. We're so glad that you enjoyed the tour. I promise that we don't aim to be confusing in pointing out that our guides are historians. What we mean is that we only offer guides with PhD or MA-level humanities educations. Liza has a doctorate in Italian and Portuguese Literature at the University of Salzburg as I mentioned in the guide bio that we always send to clients before your tour so that you know your guide's background. Our belief is that guides who have the passion to achieve academic degrees in humanities subjects bring a whole extra level of research skills and depth of knowledge to their touring even than their colleagues who have only obtained a guiding license (although that's quite rigorous in Austria and takes an additional 2 years of study in its own right). That's all we mean to imply by historian, someone who has researched and written enough to earn a humanites PhD or MA and brings that depth to their touring. Again, thanks so much for the review. We appreciate so much, especially at this rough time for travel. We hope to see you on Insight Cities tours again in Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest.
Liza was a delightful guide, showing us as much as we could see in the few hours we had together. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed all the Sound of Music sites, learning the history and getting tips about what to eat and where. It seems like you can do cities on your own until you have a tour guide and realize how much you miss if you don’t have a guide. Really loved the cemetery, it was so beautiful. Thanks Insight Cities, this was our second tour with you. Hope we can come back for more sometime soon!
Thanks for the warm review. Glad you enjoyed our tours and guides in Vienna and Salzburg and we hope to see you in the future on Insight Cities tours in Prague, Berlin, Budapest and Munich. We're so encouraged by the positive feedback at a time when we are very challenged by the pandemic. Just beginning to give tours to fellow Europeans while we wait to welcome overseas visitors back to our cities! Thanks again.
This tour is a great way to get introduced to the city's rich history and architecture. Astrid was excellent and she made the tour interesting for both kids and adults, keeping a perfect balance between rich historical details and some fun facts. Highly recommended.
Thanks for the warm review. We are proud to have many guides on our team that excel at making tours captivating for kids while also interesting and in-depth for their adults! We're glad that you enjoyed the tour and hope to see you on other family-friendly Insight Cities tours in Berlin, Vienna, Prague and Budapest..
Salzburg was beautiful and Astrid introduced us to a lot of the town's history and striking sights. It was great to get an insider's view of the city at a manageable pace for the kids as well. Astrid was also very accommodating and helped us see the Sound of Music sights the kids were interested in. We highly recommend Insight Cities tours in Salzburg.
Thanks for the review. We're proud of our Salzburg team of personable local historians and we're glad that you enjoyed the tour!

Bit muddled from tour guide. Didn't feel we got much out of the tour. Could have done most of it on our own. Wouldn't recommend it
