Sacred Valley Plus Tour - 1 Tag (Private Tour)

To be completely transparent, we could not make this exit. Booked on Friday at 17:45 local time, no news on Saturday. On Sunday I contact the tour operator via WhatsApp (US number?!) who tells me that the offices have been closed since Friday and that my Reservation has not been processed. I thank the agent I had on Sunday via WhatsApp who unsuccessfully tried to find us a Guide, then proceeded to cancel and refund. Fortunately I was able to find an equivalent output via another site.

This day trip to the Sacred Valley is a MUST for anyone visiting the Cusco region. I know that Machu Picchu is the main draw, but you are truly denying yourself some amazing experiences if you do not take this tour. We visited Chinchero, which is an amazing site in itself, yet we also were able to see a weaving cooperative and were taught how alpaca wool is dyed. We then saw the jay dropping circular terraces of Moray, the beautiful salt pools of Maras, the majestic and awe-inspiring mountain complex of Ollantaytambo, and the breathtaking terraces at Pisac. Our guide, Frank, was so kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and he made this full day trip seem like it went by in a heartbeat. You truly cannot experience Cusco without this trip!

Jacob was an amazing guide for Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. He took great care of my friend and myself. He was very friendly and informative. My daughter and I visited Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu over two picture perfect days in May 2023. We relied on Flashpacker Connect to coordinate the trip and they delivered superbly. We had two guides on two separate days for a private tour of the Sacred Valley on Day 1 with Dalia and Machu Picchu on Day 2 with Jacob. Both Dalia and Jacob were incredibly attentive to our needs, were ready early in the day so we could experience the most out of our trip and provided an incredible amount of history. Thanks to Jacob making sure we got an early start, we were fortunate to see the sunrise over Machu Picchu. Dalia and Jacob were incredibly caring and attentive to our needs. There was a snack basket in the van as we traveled which was a nice touch. This trip could not have been as successful without their expertise and we are thankful for learning much of the area from them. You can't go wrong with booking FlashpackerConnect if only for the quality of their guides! Our guide, Alberto, was the best guide you could ask for. We really lucked out with him and Mario as our driver. Alberto has a ton of knowledge about the Incan Empire and answered our many (many!) questions on our guided tour. He always made sure we were comfortable and went out of his way to ensure we were doing okay (the altitude sickness and number of stairs/hills can be challenging!). He was a joy to be around and we were so happy and lucky to have him for our Cusco half day tour, the Sacred Valley tour, AND our Macchu Picchu tour. Bonus - he's an amazing photographer! I highly recommend Berto and Flashpacker if you're looking for amazing and knowledgeable guides and fun tours!

We did the sacred valley plus 1 day and 1 day machu picchu with our guide Jacob and it was an unbelievable experience. Everything was very well organized- it felt like the trip was on autopilot even though Jacob expertly organized every step of the way. Our trip to machu picchu involved waking up early to beat the crowds and wow was it worth it. Jacob was so knowledgeable and added so much depth to our experience. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the experience and went above and beyond to customize the days to our preferences. Jacob may have been a photographer in another life as his videos and portraits of us with machu picchu in the background blew us away. Would highly recommend flashpackers, all employees were very helpful, friendly and professional.

This was a great introductory tour into the history of the Inca people and sites that are near Cusco, led by our esteemed guide Joaquin and driver David (Copperfield, as Joaquin liked to joke). Highly recommend this tour as you get acclimated to the altitude of the area. Joaquin has a tremendous amount of knowledge, and excited to share with family back home.

Such an amazing day!! Joaquin and Mario were wonderful! The tour itself was incredible, but Joaquin really brought the ruins to life. He told us stories, myths, and the history behind everything that took the tour to the next level. Would recommend for anyone who is looking to see the best parts of Cuzco in one day. We also had to change our plans and they were so accommodating. Would definitely book with flashpacker again!

If you ever find yourself wanting to explore around Peru with a guide who is reliable, knowledgeable, and informative then you absolutely must look for Joaquin!! My best friend and I went on a trip to Valle Sagrado and Joaquin was very thorough in describing the history and cultural significance of every aspect of the trip. He was able to answer our questions with ease and even recommended some books for us to read so we can further learn about the Incas and the impact they had on the development of Peru today. The sights were beautiful and beyond what we could have imagined, and I would absolutely recommend that you have this experience as well! An absolute must! 😊

I enjoyed listening to him tell the history of Peru, Cusco and Machu Picchu. Super interesting and informative! Joaquin was such a delight and very knowledgeable. Joaquin was patient with us in all aspects and he made the trip that much better! I highly recommend him and he did a great job at making us feel comfortable and safe.
