Reiseverlauf

Really well organised trip with Babou providing lots of information & an insight to Gambian life. A real mixture of activities tailored to what you want. Loved the fact it was a private tour. We have booked the Safari trip with him as we we're so happy with this trip. Would highly recommend.
Babou was our guide, he was so polite, accommodating, fantastic knowledge of gambia. Would recommend him 100%
We had a great day with Baboucarr! He knew a lot to tell in the little museum at Kachically, we saw crocodiles and petted them, walked through the streets of the colorful market, visited a small school, bought nice souvenirs at the Craft Market, had a delicious lunch at Paradise Beach and at the end our eyes were amazed at the Tanji fishermen's market. Besides all these visits we also saw a lot from the van. In short; you get an idea of The Gambia in one day!
We were picked up in the morning by Babou and were pleasantly surprised that it was a private tour. The car has no air conditioning but great little fans on the ceiling. We visited the crocodile pool and the museum that comes with it. Interesting and good explanation of the guide. Then we visited the hectic, colorful market where we were neatly guided through all the streets by Babou. The school seemed a bit of a play but was still a fun experience. The ladies who work there are certainly passionate about their work. After a free massage on the bumpy roads we went to the woodcraft market and we had a look at the cattle market. Then it was time for lunch. Good food at the beach with wind from the sea. The last stop was the fish market. You can smell from afar that you're getting closer. But you really must have seen that! Around half past five we were dropped back at the hotel. It was a great day with many impressions. Lots in the car but also plenty to see. The shower after the tour was not a luxury. Thanks Babou!!
Great experience. Babou is a great guide. Communicative and helpful. My short stay in Gambia wouldn't be so good without his support. The trip itself is very interesting. You can feel the real taste of Gambia and understand the present and the past of this beautiful country. See you next time Babou.
Fantastic day .Babou carr was excellent and this was our favourite trip, we went to some amazing places we wouldn’t have visited on our own
What a fantastic day! This day really shows you everything about Gambia. The markets are an experience in themselves and the visit to the school is also very nice. On paradise beach we had a lovely lunch and enjoyed the view. The fish market was also very nice. Our guide did it so nice and relaxed. Just right for us. I love that we had a private tour so we could do everything at our pace.
We had an excellent day out with Babou. He was very well informed, friendly and helpful. He was happy to answer our questions, including some about his own personal circumstances and his family. My husband and I were the only ones on the trip so it was great having our own personal guide and also easy to be very flexible. For example, I think we may have spent longer in the Crocodile Park and then didn't have enough time for the school visit (it was Friday and they attend only half day on Fridays) so instead Babou added a visit to the livestock market into the schedule, which we found very interesting. The craft market was less interesting for us, and we didn't stay long, but the Serrakunda market was good; it would be easy to spend a few hours there! Paradise Beach is really beautiful, very chilled. We had a tasty and not expensive lunch there. The fishing village was interesting but as I don't like fish (or their smell!) it was less fun for me! However, overall it was a really good day trip. Remember that the roads are not very good and travelling from A to B can take a while. Highly recommend Babou, a really lovely man and a great guide.
We had an excellent day with our guide Babou. He was very well informed, friendly and helpful. He was happy to answer all of our questions, including some about his own personal circumstances and family, such as schools in Gambia . His English was very good. We were the only two on this trip so it was great having our very own personal guide. We were happy to amend the trip slightly. As it was Friday the school had half day so we were too late for that and we went instead to an animal/livestock market, which was very interesting . We found Babou to be a very good guide and can highly recommend his tours.
