Reiseverlauf
Am frühen Morgen beginnen wir unsere Stadtrundfahrt am Aussichtspunkt Panecillo, um die Wunder Quitos von oben zu bewundern. Anschließend unternehmen wir einen etwa zweistündigen Spaziergang und besichtigen die Höhepunkte der Altstadt wie die Kirche San Francisco, die Kirche Compañia de Jesús und die Kirche Sagrario in der „Calle de la Siete Cruces“ oder in der Garcia-Moreno-Straße. Anschließend besuchen wir die Lobby des Präsidentenpalastes am Hauptplatz von Quito. Zum Abschluss unseres Besuchs in der Innenstadt besuchen wir die erste gotische Kirche Ecuadors, die „Basílica del Voto Nacional“, die als die höchste der Stadt gilt. Dies ist ein weiterer schöner Aussichtspunkt, um die „Allee der Vulkane“ zu beobachten.
Wir fahren zum Äquatorlinienmuseum, wo Sie die Möglichkeit haben, ein unvergessliches Foto mit einem Fuß in jeder Hemisphäre zu machen. Und erfahren Sie außerdem viel mehr über die Geschichte und Kultur Ecuadors.
Schließlich besuchen wir die Seilbahn oder Teleferico, eine Fahrt zum Fuß des Vulkans Rucu Pichincha, einem weiteren Aussichtspunkt der Stadt Quito, den man gesehen haben muss. UPDATE: Derzeit ist die Seilbahn wegen technischer Probleme geschlossen und es gibt keinen Wiedereröffnungstermin, daher ist es möglich, dass ein Besuch nicht möglich ist.

This tour way amazing! The views and city were so beautiful. I loved the churches and the walk through the historic part of Quito. Our guide Erick was fantastic! So kind, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend anyone who wants to see and learn about Quito and Ecuador to do this trip!

We spent three days with Alejandro while in Quito. Each day of tours was excellent. We visited the Old Town of Quito with a visit to the Equator, the Mindo Cloud Forest and the Otavalo Market. Each day Alejandro picked us up on time from our hotel and spent the full day with us sharing his knowledge and experiences within Ecuador. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, the culture and the different regions. Our walk through the Cloud Forest demonstrated his knowledge around the plants and wildlife of the area. In Quito we received a wonderful history lesson and in Otavalo we experienced and learned about the culture of the area. Alejandro was conscientious about COVID protocols making us feel very safe the entire time we were with him. We wore masks the entire time, hands were sanitized regularly and our shoes were even sprayed prior to entering the vehicle. He also helped us to understand how to stay safe in Quito when we weren't with him. From the initial contact through the payment and even a follow up call prior to our arrival, the process was professional and comprehensive. Having a private tour allowed us flexibility and we were able to adjust things according to our interests. No request was a problem and this made for 3 very enjoyable days. GUIDEcuador is highly recommended if you are planning a visit to Ecuador.

In the morning a very inspired tour full of history along the vias de quito. The guide showed us not only the tourist sites but also the not very common ones. In the afternoon it took us to the city halfway around the world but not only to the supposed „fake“ but also to the most precise point. We could enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied by folk music „the clowns“. He always explained everything very precise and detailed and knew how to maintain our interest and curiosity throughout the day.
