This gives you quite a different view of Quitofrom a tour that focuses on monuments, buildings and dates. It’s a very rewarding dive into food and culture. Kevin is well known in the old town and can get you access to various experiences. Recommended.
I was actually supposed to join another tour, but they were not running so I saw Kevin‘s group and he let me join last-minute. I was grateful because I met an amazing group of people and he was a fantastic tour guide. We got to try so many different foods and candies and desserts of Ecuador and I definitely got to learn a lot more about the history and culture. He was very easy to understand and went at a good pace. I would definitely recommend going with Kevin and I’m also gonna look at his gastronomy Tours when I’m back in Quito!
We had an amazing time on the tour of Old Town with Kevin! We learned a lot about Quito’s history and got to sample some of the local food and beverages! Highly recommend!
I highly recommend this tour! This was a 5-star tour from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly professional and accommodating, even with our last-minute schedule change. Malena was wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The tour was very informative, and we learned so much about Ecuador's history while visiting many beautiful places. The food tour included in the experience was top-notch, and the chocolate tasting was a real highlight. A special thank you to Fernando, Malena, and Kevin for making this such a memorable experience. We truly enjoyed every moment!
Great sight seeing and food. We didn't feel rushed and Kevin had an answer to every question. I enjoyed the tasting at every stop but the chocolate tasting was top notch. I was almost getting tired of eating chocolate at the end. I still bought some to take home though. After the tour, my girlfriend and I went back to one of the restaurants for dinner because it was very nice during the tour. Delicious steaks!
Kevin was full of knowledge , personable and very interested in you. The tour was great and ended with a fabulous recommendation for lunch. Thank you Kevin
I booked a tour in Quito through Expedia just a couple of hours before it started, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. My guide, Stefy, sent me a detailed WhatsApp message ahead of time that made it super easy to find her, which immediately put me at ease. From the start, she was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel like I was in great hands. She explained the history clearly and knowledgeably, but also kept everything fun and engaging. One of the highlights was getting to taste delicious traditional foods, desserts, and drinks along the way — such a great way to experience the local culture. As a solo traveler, I was honestly a bit skeptical about joining a last-minute tour without researching reviews first. But Stefy’s warmth and professionalism quickly erased any doubts. The group atmosphere was so comfortable that I even made a new friend — another solo traveler on the tour. Overall, an amazing experience. I give both the tour and Stefy a 10/10 and would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Quito.
I enjoyed Esteffi, and how she shared so much of Ecuador's history. She brought a lot of the culture out, and looked out for us on the streets of Quito. I would so much of Quito.
I had a fantastic food tour in Quito with Edwin and would highly recommend him. I ended up being the only guest, so it became a private tour, which was a real bonus. Edwin’s English is excellent and he’s extremely knowledgeable about Quito’s history, culture, and food scene. He explained things clearly and thoughtfully, and I learned a lot beyond just the food. He was also very attentive to my food preferences and allergies, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and well cared for. The pace was great, the food was delicious, and the tour felt personal rather than scripted. If you’re looking for a food tour that combines great local insight with flexibility and genuine care, Edwin is an excellent choice.
We landed in Quito after a sleepless red eye flight and decided to hit the ground running with a walking food tour. It turned out to be a wonderful decision, we got to meet our guide Kevin who showed us around Quito’s old town while sampling food and learning about Quito’s rich history. Kevin was a charming guide while entertained us with stories and historical facts. We tasted chocolate, jam, coffee, empanadas, and candy. Overall it was a great introduction to Quito with a knowledgeable guide.
