Puffins are not congregating making it easy to see. They mostly fly so you need to have fast eyes and reflexes.
Great tour with a super knowledgeable and very engaging guide. She was so helpful and graciously answered all our questions.
The guide and also the pilot were both great: knowledgable, informative in an entertaining way, and certainly provided a great experience. We saw lots of puffins!

I had a great time on this Puffins Cruise. We got to go to an island about 15 min from the harbor in Reykjavik. The island was swarming with puffins sitting on and flying abut the island. It was really cool to get to watch them. Admittedly, the tour group that I met up with for a 10 day trip did go to a puffin viewing area in southern Iceland. We were only a few feet away from them and it was free. The view was way better there than in Reykjavik. The cruise was still a really fun experience and it was fun to see them flying around. The are so dang cute!

Really fun trip. Boat ride took roughly an hour. The guide was both knowledgeable and fun! She was great with kids but also great with the few serious bird watchers we had onboard, or "bird nerds" as she referred to herself. The boat driver/captain also gave an air of confidence and capability. There is a toilet onboard, I didn't use it but good to know for those with kids or others who may need that access. There are indoor and outdoor areas on the small boat. Really good fun. And we saw plenty of puffins pretty close up.

Laura was great! We knew very little about Puffins so wanted see them and learn more. We were especially amazed at the lovely tradition when people help young wayward confused birds that have crashed into town after mistaking city lights for the moon. People releasing the fledglings at the cliffs is lifesaving and wonderful. SOOO glad we went on this excursion!!
