Privater Transfer vom Flughafen Vancouver (YVR)

From correspondence to delivery everything went like clockwork. Perfect. We were greeted with our names and had a fun time hearing a running commentary about Vancouver.

The good news - We were transported between YVR airport and our downtown hotel successfully, both upon arrival and upon departure. That said, this provider did not meet our expectations and I would not book them again. First, the purchaser should be aware this is not an airport pickup service where the driver comes inside the terminal with a sign to greet you. Rather, it's like pre-booking an Uber. You have to text the service and/or driver that you've arrived, you have to make your way out to the Rideshare pickup area, and you have to wait for the driver (who is in a waiting area some distance away) to come around and pick you up. We had to wait outdoors about 10-15 minutes for the driver to arrive once we made our way outside and located the correct area. Perhaps I didn't read the service description closely enough, but I was expecting an in-terminal greeting that didn't happen. Second, and more importantly, on our return trip from our downtown hotel to the YVR airport, our pickup time passed with no communication from the service or driver. This was unsettling to say the least. I had to actively reach out to the service provider to see if anyone was actually coming to pick us up. Needless to say, we were worried that we were going to be late to the airport and I was starting to scramble to see what alternative arrangements for airport transfer could be made. The driver did eventually arrive, about 5-10 minutes late. Shockingly, the driver never acknowledged that he was late, and he never apologized for the lateness or the lack of communication. Honestly, if the service had just communicated to us that the driver was running late and would be there within 10 minutes of our scheduled pickup time, we would have been mildly annoyed but fine. But to leave us hanging with no proactive communication at all was very bad. I would not book this service again (and if I did, my wife would probably shoot me on the spot!).

Our group had first class service from our driver for our transfer from Vancouver airport to our hotel in the city. He was waiting for us and helped with our luggage. Excellent vehicle that held all of our luggage. Highly recommend.

This was a total 'stuff-up' by someone in your office as the company arrived at the airport at 13:05pm and I have emailed with you to say that this was not acceptable as that was the original landing time of our flight. The driver left the airport after 2 hours as we were 1 hour late landing and then had to clear customs, etc and collect our baggage. I had no phone conection in Vancouver so finally had to ask the Visitor staff to try to phone/ or message app the company to ask what they were going to do. Finally a driver came to the airpprt and we were picked up. Doubt that we will use Viator for this type of transfer again if you cannot pass messages to the companies involved. VERY frustrating after a long flight from Brisbane via Auckland.
