A great experience! We were picked up and dropped off in Arusha. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Being so close to wild giraffes was a once in a lifetime experience.

We absolutely loved this experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the life of the giraffe. We also saw warthogs, zebra and buffalo. Our guide took us to the nearby waterfall as well. This was our first experience seeing giraffe in Tanzania and I would 100% recommend to everyone.

Daniel was our tour guide and taught us all about the giraffes. We got to see all four giraffes at once! He told us that they rehabilitate the giraffes and set them free once they are healed. Super cool & ethical experience! I would give yourself extra time to get there as it is quite out of the way.

After a lecture on the effects of human behavior on animal habitats, especially giraffes, and the benefits of sustainable agriculture, we set out to find the giraffes. Unfortunately, only 4 giraffes live here, 1 male and 3 female giraffes. After a hike of about 30 minutes, Eduard suddenly appears in front of us and allows us to approach him to within a few meters. You cannot pet or feed the animals. The female giraffes are shy and do not allow close proximity. After taking some photos, we then make our way back. The guides' explanations are clear, and our questions are gladly answered. Unfortunately, the journey is very difficult, and the entrance fee, see photo, is very high. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is not appropriate. Therefore, only 3 stars! We cannot understand the exuberant reviews.

Had a fun visit to the Arusha Giraffe Centre in Tanzania. Our guide Daniel gave us an interesting and informative tour. Including analyzing giraffe poop!!

Great place, super nice guide, and beautiful awareness as well as rescue of these beautiful giraffes. Prices are quite high (see photo), but this is a help center; here are the prices on-site: • adult: 55 dollars • 3-15 years old: 27.50 • 0-2: free BUT! Be sure to go equipped with pants and repellent because there are a huge number of ticks in the grass; there is not necessarily a warning from them, having gone with our agency as well. Two people were in shorts, but nothing was suggested about taking pants because we did not know that we had to walk in the Park with very tall grass. Other than that, I recommend it; it is worth the detour.

The visit to the Arusha Giraffe Center was rather spontaneous, but absolutely worthwhile. We were so impressed that we advised our travel provider to include this address in their planning. Great people take care of great animals here. Absolutely recommendable!

We were on our way back to Arusha from the ngorogoro crater (spent the night in Karatu) and stopped by on a whim to get our giraffe fix and we were not disappointed. To say this is a giraffe center is true but an understatement. This organization, in addition to helping restore the decreasing giraffe population, is also involved in research and education in sustainable farming practices for TZ. At this center you will earn about sustainable farming, capture of bio-gasses, preservation of giraffes and a litany of other things Also, you get to walk with giraffes. 🦒 there’s something about giraffes. These giraffes were very calm and content. We were about 10’ away at points and had no problems getting pictures. The guide did a good job in educating us on the different types of giraffes, how to identify gender and all sorts of good stuff. If you like nature, this trip is well worth your time. If you’re not going with a guide or it’s your guides first time, once you turn off the main road… keep going… and keep going. When you get to the Presbyterian church with a giraffe center sign… keep going lol.

This was an incredible experience and was a great way to learn about giraffe in a natural habitat. The guide did great job explaining about both the centre and the giraffe. I would highly recommend this if you get the chance.
