Die Faszination und die Perle des gebirgigen Armeniens ist der Sevan-See, einer der größten Süßwasserseen der Welt in großer Höhe. Es liegt etwa 1900 m über dem Meeresspiegel. Der See ist vulkanischen Ursprungs und ist von 3000 m hohen Bergen umgeben. Die wunderschöne Landschaft und das kristallklare Wasser bieten gute Voraussetzungen für eine hervorragende Erholung.Der See ist auch berühmt für seine Halbinsel und den mittelalterlichen Kirchenkomplex aus dem Jahr 874.
Im nordwestlichen Teil des Sevan-Sees, wo die Halbinsel die transparente Oberfläche des Sees überragt, eröffnet sich eine wunderbare Szene. Das Sewanawank-Kloster wurde 874 im Auftrag der Tochterprinzessin Mariam von König Ashot Bagratuni auf der Halbinsel erbaut. Die Silhouette der Kirchen vor dem Hintergrund des türkisblauen Sees und des blauen Himmels hinterlässt bei den Besuchern einen unerklärlichen Eindruck.

It was a light trip, which fitted our needs for the last day of our Armenian experience. The lake is beautiful.
I am choosing Huyr Service for 3 years and glad that quality is the best and haven't changed along this period. This time I took a tour to Sevan (3rd time). Thanks to our driver Khachatur we got here fast and have enough time to visit all the places. And our professional guide Akop made the journey educational and fun!

We had a wonderful day exploring Armenia with Tamara as our tour guide and Karen as our driver. Both were in a great mood throughout the trip, incredibly helpful, attentive, and always eager to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. The highlights of the tour were beautiful Lake Sevan, the impressive monasteries, and the delicious cheese tasting. Everything was well organized, and Tamara shared interesting information and stories along the way, making the journey even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic half day tour to lake Sevan, ou driver Jova was very patiently and picked us even a bit earlier at the hotel. The bus was new and very comfortable, this is important for a family. I recommend them!
