Aggeliki was a delightful and skilled driver/guide. The first winery was extremely pleasant—interesting wines (varietals unfamiliar to us), served with delicious farmers cheeses in a beautiful hilltop setting. The second winery was having an open-house day, which had drawn a big crowd and also involved blaring music, so that was less to our taste, but it was nonetheless interesting to taste wines made from essentially the same grapes as at winery #1 but resulting in very different flavors. The taverna lunch was tasty and involved a lot of food. All in all, a great excursion.

Cretans and subtle volume levels have never had the strongest relationship once wine starts flowing. Still, we are glad you appreciated the opportunity to compare how the same grape varieties can produce completely different personalities in the glass depending on the producer, terroir, and philosophy behind the wine. Aggeliki was a delightful guide/driver, and we very much enjoyed the first of the two wineries. It has a beautiful hilltop setting, and the family operating the winery makes guests welcome with great wine and fresh farmers cheeses. The second winery was having an open house, so was quite crowded (big party atmosphere, blaring music) and no tour was possible. But it was interesting to taste the differences between wines made from the same grapes as those used at winery #1. The taverna lunch involved a lot of food and was tasty. All in all it was a great day, and nice to get out of Heraklion and see some of the countryside.

This tour is a must do is perfect for couples. Mr. Yanni, our driver, was amazing. They were patient they were kind and they were.accommodating. The food was delicious, totally fresh and amazing. The Greek wine was great and the wine sommeliers were clearly experts, kind and patient. I strongly recommend this tour.

Fun! Safe! Personable! We were nervous in a new country but wanted to try amazing wines and Greek food. Everything was perfect. The tour company were extremely accommodating! Mr. Yanni made us feel at ease, was curious and funny. The experience was amazing from the food which was authentic and delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the various Crete wines!! The wineries were family owned, multi-generational and incredibly kind. The wine experts, were very detailed and explained everything!

This was truly an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Silva Winery where we met our sommelier Christos who was extremely friendly, knowledgable and passionate. All of the wines were delicious, and then it was so fun to find them on menus in Crete throughout the rest of our trip. The food ended up being the best food on our trip, we couldn't stop eating! 10/10 experience.
