Der mittelalterliche Klosterkomplex Kecharis liegt im nordwestlichen Teil der Stadt Tsaghkadzor. Es zeichnet sich nicht nur durch seine architektonische Originalität aus, sondern auch durch seine interessante Geschichte. Seine Ausbildung dauerte 220 Jahre mit Unterbrechungen von über 150 Jahren. Dieses Schicksal war auf die Besonderheiten der historischen Periode zurückzuführen. Der Bau des Klosters begann während der Herrschaft der Bagratuni-Dynastie und wurde von der Pahlavuni-Dynastie fortgesetzt. Die erste Kirche im Bereich des Klosterkomplexes Kecharis, St. Gregor der Erleuchter, wurde in den Jahren 995-1003 erbaut, und dann wurden weitere heilige Stätten gebaut. Das Kecharis-Kloster umfasst drei Kirchen, St. Gregor der Erleuchter mit einer Kuppelhalle, die Kirchen St. Nshan und St. Cathoghike, zwei Kapellen und einen Innenhof. Etwas weiter westlich, auf dem Weg zum Wald, befindet sich eine weitere Kirche – St. Harutiun. Im Gegensatz zu ähnlichen Klöstern in Armenien bilden die Hauptstrukturen von Kecharis eine gerade Ecke auf ihren eigenen Säulen.
Der Hochgebirgssee Sevan ist die „Perle Armeniens“. Sevan-See - liegt auf einer Höhe von 1.900 m über dem Meeresspiegel im Zentrum des armenischen Hochlands, 63 km nordöstlich der armenischen Hauptstadt Eriwan und ist der größte See des Kaukasus. Sevan ist von allen Seiten von Gebirgszügen umgeben und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Alpensee. Der See ist berühmt für sein reinstes Süßwasser und reine Bergluft wirkt sich positiv auf die Gesundheit aus.
Der Klosterkomplex Sevanavank befindet sich auf der Halbinsel Sevan. Im Jahr 305 wurde es von Gregor dem Erleuchter gegründet, der die Kirche an der Stelle eines heidnischen Tempels errichtete. Im 9. Jahrhundert machten die Fürsten von Syunik Sevan zu einem Punkt ihres Untergangs. 874 bauten die Frau des Fürsten von Syunik Vassak und die Tochter des Königs Ashot Bagratuni - Mariam hier zwei Kirchen - St. Arakeloc und St. Astvatcatcin. Sie sind reich an verschiedenen holzgeschnitzten Kapitellen, von denen ein Teil im Armenischen Landesmuseum für Geschichte und in der Kunstgalerie von St. Petersburg (Eremitage) aufbewahrt wird. Im Jahr 1869 eröffnete eine spirituelle Schule in der Anlage. Auf der Spitze des Berges der Insel sind die Überreste der Kirche mit einer Kuppelhalle erhalten. Das Kloster ist reich an Khachqars (Kreuzsteinen).
Die Sesselbahn von Tsaghkadzor liegt am Osthang des Berges Teghenis zwischen 1966 und 2819 m über dem Meeresspiegel. Es ist seit 1967 in Betrieb. Von der Höhe von 2819 m, wohin Sie der schnelle Sessellift in 32 Minuten bringt, ist ganz Armenien auf einen Blick sichtbar und bei klarem Wetter können Sie einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Berg Ararat genießen. Im Jahr 2004 wurde die ehemalige Seilbahn durch eine neue, moderne ersetzt, auch im Jahr 2017 wurden wichtige Investitionen getätigt. Jetzt ist die Seilbahn gut ausgestattet, eine aktive und sichere Erholung für Touristen ist garantiert.

Our 2nd day tour in Armenia was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. We truly enjoyed every stop and felt so blessed to experience snow for the first time — it was magical! ❄️✨ The cable car ride in Tsaghkadzor was unforgettable, especially as first-timers. We also loved warming up with hot chocolate there — it was really good and perfect for the cold weather ☕🤍 Lake Sevan was stunning, and the restaurant beside the lake was a great choice. The food was delicious and the view made the experience even better. Most importantly, our tour guide Davit Tovmasyan was excellent — very kind, professional, and speaks English very well, which made everything easy and enjoyable for us. He explained the places clearly and made the whole day smooth and fun. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable day. Highly recommended — we enjoyed it so much and will cherish these memories of Armenia forever 🇦🇲❤️

The experience was really nice. We booked the whole Armenia trip with IFly tourism. We experienced the cable ride and it was amazing. The view was from the top was exceptional. We also went to see the Sevan Lake. The view was really beautiful and it was veryy cold. We drank some coffee and hot chocolate and enjoyed the view. Good experience. All the places have their own charm. Its nice to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. A little bit pricey, ultimately paying for a cab ride.
