First, let me say that this was an amazing experience. Luca, Umberto, and Roberta were first rate, and amazing. Luca, worked with us every step of the way to ensure that we got the trip of a lifetime. We only had a day in Naples due to us being there on a cruise and there was so much we wanted to see and do. Luca and Umberto were miracle workers in planning our trip and strategically laying out everything we wanted to see and do. From the Amalfi Coast, to eating pizza for lunch in Pompeii and a guided tour of Pompeii. Roberta is beyond wonderful. She was so much fun, knowledgeable, and an absolute blast to be with. She is a true expert in her field. If she comes to Texas, we will give her a tour of our great state. Umberto was so much fun. He planned a day trip that allowed us to see things didn't originally we didn't know that we needed to see, and we are so glad that we did. Luca worked with us on the pricing and we are so grateful for that. I highly recommend Luca Tours. When we go back, we will definitely use Luca.

Luca was an excellent guide, he gave us a tour that felt very personal. We had some knowledge and curiosity and he tailored the trip to show us things of the main tracks, often in places where no one else was walking. His knowledge of Pompeii is extensive and we learnt so much, not only about the history, but the stories that the paintings tell, the influences that we see in the modern world, philosophers, Greeks, Romans. It was well paced, and enjoyable, Luca has a great energy to be around for a few hours. With a private tour you get to see beyond the popular route, which I have done before, this was a much better experience if you are genuinely curious about the history of Pompeii.

Luca, our private tourguide of the day, made it work perfectly well walking on the 2000 years old stones of Pompeji yourself being 86 years old. Luca led our excursion with the greatest empathy and skill.

Luca gave an outstanding tour of Pompeii for me and my two daughters, ages 13 and 10. He was dynamic, well-paced, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what really set him apart was his energy. He was fun, funny, lively, and genuinely kind, which kept all of us engaged the entire time. He struck the perfect balance between sharing fascinating details and making the experience enjoyable for the kids. It was far better than what we would have gotten from an audio tour or a more standard guide. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Luca to anyone visiting Pompeii.

We had a large group with a wide range of ages and interests and very little time to fit in as much as we could possibly see in the Naples and Amalfi area. Luca did a fantastic job of planning and executing the perfect day for us. He made sure we saw and did all the priority things, and took care of all the details. He managed to accommodate our various interests and needs. He made our day fun and super informative. He has extensive knowledge of the area and especially of the awesome history of Pompei and we all had a fantastic time. He made sure we made the most of our tone. Super reasonable price. Luca worked with me for months to craft the perfect experience for my family of 10, which ranged from 78 years old down to 13. He considered mobility issues, the heat, the timing, and the best places for my family to experience based on our interests, and it could not have been better. It was the best day of our entire 14 day trip, especially because I had to worry about nothing. Luca took care of all of the transportation, timing, all of the details of the ferry boats and tickets, it was just a relaxing and most enjoyable day. I cannot sing Luca’s praises enough, he is a treasure. He is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and he loves the Naples area with a passion. Luca is a true gem! We have toured the world and have had guides from all walks of life and Luca was by far our favorite. His wealth of knowledge was impressive in of itself but also his respect for the preservation and history was beyond appreciated. His passion about showing us history was palpable. My husband has always been fascinated by Roman and Greek history and spent much of his childhood studying these topics. So for our trip to Italy I vetted guides for all of our tours to ensure they would be able to keep up with my husband’s questions… basically the guides needed to be walking encyclopedias or it would be insufficient. Luca absolutely exceeded our expectations. We achieved a tour that seemed impossible. In 5 hours we saw all of Herculaneum and at least 85-90% of Pompeii. Granted we are very active so we can move fast but it never felt rushed. We paused to talk about pictures and flooring. We talked about different building styles, disparities of wealth, etc. we took in views and went at an achievable pace. We ended the tour being disappointed it was over as we wish we could’ve spent days with Luca showing us history of this magical place. We highly recommend him!! You will not regret your experience.
