What had a lovely time touring around Lasithi Plateau with Sotiris. Sotiris was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. He grew up in the area so he has tons of local knowledge and insights. All the places we went to were beautiful and interesting. We also had an amazing lunch at a local village taverna, the food was delicious. Great trip, would highly recommend.
This tour was on of the best excursions our family enjoyed while on holiday in Greece. Our tour guide, George, was extremely knowledgeable, extremely kind, a great conversationalist, and was a joy to be around. The mountainous scenery of Crete is jaw-dropping and some of the sites he took us to were unforgettable experiences! The lunch was also incredible!! Again, this tour is a must while in Crete!
The views and all the information we've got from our Tour Guide George where amazing. We've learned so much at this trip. Our guide where very kind, friendly and did everything that this tour was as comfortable as possible for us. We also got a very delicious Lunch meal. Thank you for this amazing experience.
We had a great day with George our tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating as we had to tweak a few things due to the unusually cold and rainy weather. We enjoyed seeing the Knossos Place Archeological site instead of the cave as it was closed for renovation and safety issues. The olive oil tour, windmill site, and pottery experience were all enjoyable as well. George helped us order wonderful traditional food items for lunch as well. We would highly recommend this tour to our friends and family.
Had the best time. Lovely tour guide. Took us round all the scenic routes and took us to many picturesque spots so we could soak up the culture more and take as many pictures we wanted. The tour went at our speed which we enjoyed as there was never any rush to get to the next place. We couldn’t visit the caves due to it now being closed but that didn’t matter as our tour guide filled it the space with secret hidden treasures. 100% recommend. Loved it so much and was so grateful that was only right to tip the tour guid €20. Thank you again!
Firstly we visited the Kera Monastery and found very interesting. They supply scarves to cover your shoulders and legs if you are not appropriately dressed. Afterwards we were taken to Lasithi Zeus Cave where we had ample of time to explore, definitely well worth a visit. It took us about half hour to reach the cave. Would recommend comfortable shoes as quite rocky towards the last section. You can purchase refreshments next to the cave and there are also restaurant/bars at the bottom which we found rewarding after our trek. We also visited a windmill where they made flour, which was also interesting. Our final stop was lunch in a traditional restaurant in Krasi, the food was fabulous and generous portions too. We opted out of the olive oil tasting as had did this the day before so we had extra time visiting the other places mentioned above. This is the beauty of Crete Maze tailoring trips to suit personal preferences. Vangelis our tour guide is very friendly and knowledgeable and you know you are in safe hands.
As we had two weeks, we booked two of the tours and have to say that everything is well thought and planned to detail. All the stops, services and people you meet on the way. This is an authentic way to see Crete, the way locals do.
Crete is such a wonderful island and if you like wine, then the wine tour is the best way to explore its wine culture and have a traditional meal that you will not forget.
The trip was amazing, due to a clash we ended up having a private trip. Our driver was amazing, polite, knowledgeable and we had as much time at each stop as we wanted. Everything we saw was so interesting and we felt we got to see parts of Crete that gave us some of its rich history. The highlights, for us, were Zeus’ Cave (although it is a steep climb first!) the monastery and the amazing Cretan lunch I would thoroughly recommend this trip.
We selected Creta Maze as we read the 5 star reviews and we decided to get the advise on spot for a tailor made tour. The driver was very kind, spotless and knowledgable of the area as he is local. We explored Lassithi plateau and had a full day of exploration which we very much enjoyed!
