Private Tour: Akropolis & Akropolismuseum

We had a private tour of the Acropolis and Museum with our guide, Kali, and it was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and insightful regarding the ancient history and mythology - we learned so much!

She was such a friendly and warm person especially towards the children and had a wealth of knowledge of Greek history. The private tour was nice since it was just 4 of us and the guide. The guide was Nikoletta who had a lot of nice stories and information for the Acropolis and Museum. She did a nice job of not overwhelming with information but giving enough to be interesting. The 8am tour took a long time to get in line to get into the Acropolis area and then a very long time to get to the top of the Acropolis. This allowed tons of people to get to the top of the Acropolis before us so it was very crowded by the time we got up there. Would be a better experience to get to the top quickly since it was first thing in the morning and then do the leisurely stories on the way down I think. All in all a good experience, but its always going to be a zoo up there so you have to be prepared for the crowds.

Efi was an amazing and experienced, knowledgeable guide! We highly recommend this tour and with efi as your guide! She was also very funny. We learned a lot about Greece. We are rowdy group and efi put up with us! Thank you! Dawn Ladowski and family

Vicky is a great guide and her Spanish is perfect. In addition to explaining in detail the sites we visited, he always had time to answer our questions about the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and all the places we visited or passed by during the walk... we didn't even care the heat or the crowds. We enjoyed every moment and learned a lot!

Must do this tour early bc the liens get really long and it’s HOT in Athens. Kate gave us a private walking tour of the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. It’s was HOT but we found shady spots to talk and look. Kate amazed us with the depth and breadth of her knowledge. She spoke of the long history of the Acropolis, the associated myths and architecture. Really a worthwhile trip to learn of the rich Athenian history and culture. I highly recommend.

Our small group of 4 had an incredible 5 hour private walking tour with Eli in October 2022. We began with the artifacts displayed at the metro station and visited a few government buildings including the changing of the guard at Parliament. Eli expertly navigated us through crowds at the Acropolis and even found a few out of the way spots for us to sit while she informed us of the incredible site's history in an easy to understand way. She gave us time to walk a bit by ourselves, take pictures and rest. We ended the tour at the Acropolis Museum where Eli again gave us the history of the artifacts and sculptures displayed throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Eli - thank you!

Let mention, the Athens Walking Tour Company took care of us. They assisted me with a private car pick up at the Port of Piraeus from our cruise. The taxi driver was named G. (name is hard to spell) He was very nice and maintained an informative dialogue with us (thank you G) on our ride to meet our guide Effi. Our guide was professional, enthusiastic, very informative. She showed us more than we expected and it was not rigorous, the weather was fantastic. She secured our entrance tickets to some of the archeological sites and museums, this was perfect as we did not have to wait in line. At this time we simply had lunch while waiting for her return. We had a great time with our guide. Athens Walking Tour was simply magnificent from the beginning of the booking stage to the last minute Port changes, to the very end in making sure we had a great time and was taken care of.
