Spaziergang durch die Akropolis-Denkmäler und den Parthenon, optional mit Akropolis-Museum

First, I chose “family” although I traveled with my wife because there was no “Spouse” choice (there should be). Partner implies same-sex couples. Now to my review. I must have missed the level of difficulty on the tours description because I would not have booked it had I known we’d be climbing a steep mountain walking over very uneven and slippery large cobble-stones. Worse, my wife works out on our elliptical machine every day. Yet, she was experiencing severe cramps when we reached the top. We asked the tour guide if she could ride the elevator on the way down. She said she would no be allowed without a physician-issued certificate of disability (or something like it). She endured the painful descent with my assistance. The physical effort is at least a 3 out of 4 because, for people over 75 years of age (as we are), the clime was brutal.

Dorina was absolutely incredible. I walked out of the tour saying “wow that was worth the money”. Money well spent. Glad I chose to do the tour.

Worth it to see the sites and have a guide to explain the history. The tour guide was good but her English was a bit difficult to understand as she had a thick accent. Also it was extremely hot and sunny (July) so be prepared for that. For the money the tour was a little slight - short. Kind of a wham, bam, thank you ma'am experience. I would have liked it to be more substantial and maybe include lunch or something. We did not do the museum.

Ioanna made our Acropolis tour truly unforgettable. Her archaeological background gave the experience a depth you simply can’t get from a standard guide — she brought real scholarly insight to every site, weaving in historical and archaeological context that made the Acropolis come alive in a way I hadn’t expected. She was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing Greek history. If you want more than just facts and dates — if you want to actually understand what you’re looking at — book with Ioanna. Cannot recommend her more highly.

I was traveling with my kids who are 9 and 11. I wasn’t sure that they would be very interested, but they are both Percy Jackson fans so this was perfect. Our guide kept up a great pace walking, storytelling, and giving breaks in the shade. We added on the museum entrance and I’m glad we did. The guide told us some of the myths that went with the reliefs in the building. Kids are funny… my daughter repeated the story to us two days later. That’s when I realized how much she had absorbed. Overall, this was a great tour and I’m glad that we did it with someone who is certified- knowledge and enthusiasm make for a great experience.

The tour was great. We didn’t walk too fast so the climb to the top of the Acropolis was doable for everyone.

A great, well paced, informative tour of the acropolis and museum taking account of the heat. Our guide, Lydia, was very good and obviously very knowledgeable and experienced.

This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide ( I can’t remember her name but she had glasses) was sooo knowledgeable. You could really tell she knew her history. I liked that we got an earpiece so we could hear her clearly without her needing to yell. Check in was a little chaotic but they tell you where to go. I recommend doing the Acropolis museum too as that had good information. We did the 9am tour and it was hot but not unbearable. Our guide took various stops along shaded areas so it never felt uncomfortable.

The best way to explore the ancient sites is with a very knowledgeable guide who tells you all the interesting stories along the way. We took the option with the museum tickets, which was worth it as the guide was able to contine the story.

It was good, only the south side however not the entire site
