Die Legende besagt, dass das erste Wort, das Noah aussprach, als er die Arche verließ, „Yerevats“ war - übersetzt als „es wird gesehen“. Dies bezieht sich auf das Land, das er angeblich nach der großen Flut gesehen hat, die später in „Eriwan“ geändert wurde. Informationen zur Stadtgeschichte finden Sie im 1931 gegründeten Eriwanischen Geschichtsmuseum. Das Museum bietet mehr als 87.000 kulturelle Werte, die von der Antike bis in unsere Tage über die Stadt berichten.
Zunächst besuchen Sie die handgefertigte Teppichfabrik „Megeryan“, in der Sie die Kultur des Teppichwebens kennenlernen, die einen besonderen Platz im armenischen Kultursystem einnimmt. Im traditionellen Armenien hat sich die Teppichweberei seit der Antike entwickelt. Während der Exkursion nehmen die Besucher an einer Meisterklasse für Teppichweberei teil, die es ihnen ermöglicht, die traditionelle armenische Kultur mit all ihrem Charme kennenzulernen.
Tsitsernakaberd ist der Gedenkkomplex für den Völkermord an den Armeniern. Armenier aus aller Welt besuchen dieses Mahnmal, um ihre Vorfahren zu ehren. Im Herzen des Denkmals ehrt die Ewige Flamme diejenigen, die während des Völkermords ihr Leben verloren haben. Sie dient als Symbol der Erinnerung und als Verpflichtung, dafür zu sorgen, dass solche Gräueltaten nie vergessen oder wiederholt werden.
Das Parajanov-Museum widmet sich den Werken und dem Vermächtnis des renommierten armenischen Filmregisseurs Sergei Parajanov, der für seinen innovativen filmischen Stil und seine künstlerische Vision gefeiert wird. Das Museum zeigt nicht nur seine Filme, sondern auch eine umfangreiche Sammlung seiner Kunstwerke, darunter Collagen, Gemälde und Fotografien.

Very nice way to visit Yerevan and get to know the history of the city and a bit more of Armenian culture. All the places we visited in this tour were guided in English. We had lunch at the Tospia restaurant and it was also very good. I really recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yerevan. We had excellent city tour though the city. Yerevan was astonishing. We thought it would be average, but it’s special views can compare to any developed city. Thanks to Yerani travel for this tour and our guide Hovhannes for his knowledge and enthusiasm.
