Auf dieser 10-11-stündigen Tour besuchen Sie Gyumri, die zweitgrößte Stadt Armeniens. Es ist eines der wichtigsten kulturellen Zentren der Republik, Sie werden das Museum des städtischen Lebens und der nationalen Kultur von Gyumri sehen. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, durch die alten Straßen der Stadt zu spazieren, die schwarze Festung zu besuchen und im Nationalrestaurant zu Mittag zu essen (auf eigene Kosten). Besuchen Sie schließlich das Kloster Harichavank aus dem 7. Jahrhundert, das sich am Westhang des Berges Aragats an einem rauen Kap befindet.

Alltag, Kultur und Geschichte von Gyumri werden im Museum präsentiert. Dieses bemerkenswerte Herrenhaus wurde 1872 vom reichen Kaufmann Petros Dzitoghtsyan aus dem berühmten roten Tuffstein von Shirak erbaut. Das Museum wurde 1984 in diesem Gebäude gegründet. Es ist in der Liste der immateriellen Denkmäler der Geschichte und Kultur von Gyumri enthalten.

Der Klosterkomplex von Harichavank aus dem 7. Jahrhundert liegt am Westhang des Berges Aragats an einem rauen Kap. Unweit der Hauptgebäude befindet sich eine kleine Kapelle, die von großem Interesse ist. Die Kapelle wurde auf einem Felsen gebaut, der infolge eines Erdbebens vom Kap getrennt wurde und die Kapelle überragt nun den Canyon.

I have been involved with a number of tours of the sights of Armenia with this company. We ride in a comfortable bus, and there are so many breathtaking places to see in this beautiful country. If you have the opportunity to come to Armenia and to patronize the services of Hyur, you must ask for Anush to be your guide. She is a living fountain of knowledge pertaining to all things Armenia, and her knowledge and experience breathes life into the adventure, whether you’re looking at a centuries old monastery, the bustling streets of Yerevan, or the emerald green hills of the Armenian highlands. Besides her personal knowledge, Anush has an excellent sense of humor and is patient with our sometimes rowdy and often slow-walking group. She is also a gifted singer! If you don’t ask her to sing for you in the glorious acoustics of the Geghardavank Monastery, it would be a pity. It was absolutely like a gift from heaven. And in all of our groups’ adventures, we were assisted by our fearless driver Hyke, who drives with as much skill and finesse as a pilot or Formula One driver! We love them both!

Our trip from Yerevan to Gyumri with the hire service was amazing. The driver, Spartak, and our guide, Rose, were incredibly accommodating and made our experience wonderful. They introduced us to a local dish called Kyala — cow’s head cooked in a traditional tonir (an underground wood-fired oven). It was surprisingly delicious. At the end, they even give you the option to scramble the brains with eggs — amazing! Highly recommend
