COVID -19 Related- Ms. Helen is fully refunded on March 09.2023 Fist off I would like to extend my public apologize to Ms. Helen family and all other families effected in summer 2022. I am offering all of our guests who could not have Holiday with us in 2022 including Helen's family a one week free holiday in one of our Villas this summer 2023 or 2024 / excluding flights/ just to prove that we care for all of you , we let down last summer due to the domino effect on our family business and my health. Also Please see full explanation bellow why it took so long for the negative reviews to be refunded as I’m sure most were just borne out of frustration at the situation of needing to wait for the recovery to start before refunds etc could be processed. HERE is EXPLANATION Since our inception, the ambition of Korcula Adventures has been to deliver high quality service and bespoke packages to our guests – many of whom returned year after year. Over 250 Excellent 5 Star reviews on Trip advisor are evidence that our ambition was successful. Couples, Families, and young people loved the special holiday packages we designed for them. Outstanding customer service, excellent accommodation and exciting recreational activities has been the foundation that we have built our business on, and it served us well for many years. However, in 2022 after navigating the relentless impact of the pandemic, global fuel prices shot up and this was a final blow that significantly impacted our business. The situation was also exacerbated by a personal health scare which I have thankfully now fully recovered from. As a result, we had no choice but to cancel some holidays at short notice. We were devastated and the guests affected were understandably furious. We have since worked tirelessly to ensure that all those guests who were let down have the choice of a full refund or holiday in 2023 or 2024 . We remain deeply sad that we let you down and can confirm that all refunds will be processed . We are also delighted that many of you are returning next year reassured that our situation is now stable and secure. The macroeconomic factors that disrupted our business have naturally required a full strategic review so we can now confidently commit to ALL holiday bookings. I am delighted to announce that we have also partnered with an investor from Australia who was very keen to ensure our family run business can run efficiently and grow again. Here is his personal statement bellow and wording : *For a long time, I have admired the way Zaran and family , and the team have designed such innovative holiday packages. Although I now live in Australia, I grew up in Korcula and have seen firsthand how Korcula Adventures is part of the fabric of the island, giving guests from around the world an authentic experience of this beautiful island from a family run business with deep roots in the local community. As a business person I could see that the Black Swan event of COVID meant that a previously successful business model required a rethink. I am proud to have made a significant investment to ensure cash flow is adequate and clients can trust completely the reliability of their much-needed vacations. Zoran and I will be regular thinking partners to ensure Korcula Adventures emerges from the last few years as a leaner and more efficient operation, whilst retaining the familial spirit that sets this special holiday company apart.* After such a demanding year we are now feeling optimistic, important lessons have been learned and I am so grateful for all the lovely messages we have received from those who know us well. Most of all we look forward to the many guests who we will welcome next year and in the years to come, creating important memories that will last forever.
