Korcula Buggy (Offizielle) Safari Tour - Lokales Essen & Weinprobe

Beschreibung

We took this trip as a group of 2 families with children between 8 and 14. We had a fabulous day driving and exploring the island. Our guides were fantastic and shared lots of local knowledge with us, taking the group to lots of places we would never had otherwise seen. The food at their house to finish was a superb bonus and delicious. Highly recommend for the money, well worth the price.
Now this is something different, the married couple has a family which is 600 yr native to Korčula. They drive you around in organized buggys inside the island, beaches only found in magazines, some historical overwiev. They also provide parchment during the drive, and for the grand finale they host you in their home providing homemade lunch, and wine… p.s. Try the anchovies so you can drink better they are his homemade. Then he shows you his Konoba which is a drinking family made cave made completley in wood, with his homemade schnapps and seeet liqour.
Just finished this buggie tour and it is not worth the price. If you're interested in the owner (Branko) swearing (he tripped on something as we were getting in the buggies and blamed his "effing Chinese flip flops") to him complaining about the paperwork needed under the new EU regulations, then this tour is for you. You drive these buggies on a paved public road and you better slow down for the speed bumps on the road or you'll get questioned by Branko. These are buggies with independent suspension, if a little speed bump is going to ruin them, then maybe this isn't the equipment for this tour. The engines are definitely not maintained. You are told at the beginning that if the engines cuts out then to stop and start it again and all should be good. Ours friends died 3 times on the tour. The average speed is 20 km/h. About half way, you stop to swim or at the expensive restaurant that he recommends. We had 40 minutes but to get to the swim spot is a 10 min walk each way as there were tons of sea urchins right where we parked so swimming was not possible there. On our particular tour, there were probably 20 buggies, at one point Branko raced ahead, cutting off people driving the buggies to squeeze in so he could get to the front and then block oncoming traffic at the upcoming intersection. This was not safe or needed at all. The pro's of this tour are the views as you drive around but don't stop at to get any good pictures. Once you get back, he takes you into a room on his property and there is a feast. He makes his own wines, jams, etc that you get to try and then you can purchase it you like them. Overall I wouldn't recommend this tour, especially for the price paid.
Thank you to Anna, Branko and Danijela for a wonderful day in the buggys through the vineyards and to the gorgeous Sandy beach. Also, a huge thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful home to experience local cuisine and wine - such wonderful hosts and great memories created for us. Tina, Oliver, Lewis and Erin.
If you are going to do a buggy tour of Korcula, this the ONLY operator you should do it with. The hosts were absolutely fantastic people who care a lot about their customers and their experiences. Ana and her husband are first class, they go over and above to make you feel welcome. The tour itself was a great experience but to top it off, the operators invite you into their home and graciously deliver an authentic and quality experience by providing a lunch service and more. They are authentic people and this is a must if you’re travelling to Korcula.
Very nice couple. Very accommodating and everything was perfect. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for nice genuine experience
Very nice experience, booked directly with the owners. Very pleasantly surprised by the tasting of local and homemade products as well as the visit to their superb cellar.
Excellent tour! Enjoyed the buggy ride and the incredible hospitality of this family business. Greatly appreciated the photos they shared with us after the tour. Highly recommend!
Amazing experience. Tour was fun, hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. You can tell that they are extremely proud of their country by how they’re showing you around the island and welcoming you into their home. Great experience, definitely not one to miss out!
It was a superb experience. Ideal for visiting the island of Korcula and tasting local products and wines. The organizers are very welcoming, dynamic, and dedicated. Special mention for the free round-trip transport offered from downtown to the meeting point.
