Die Hagia Sophia wurde ursprünglich als orthodoxe Kirche von Kaiser Justinian I.
Der erste Palast des Osmanischen Reiches, war fast 400 Jahre lang das Verwaltungszentrum und war auch die Heimat der 25 Sultane.
Die Blaue Moschee wurde im Jahr 1616 erbaut.
Der Große Basar ist einer der erstaunlichsten Märkte der Welt mit 3000 Geschäften, 60 Straßen und 20 Eingängen.
Die Basilika-Zisterne ist ein Wassertank und 1500 Jahre alt.

We met Murat, and Istanbul was not the same without him!! He introduced us to a fascinating city with an incredible history, shared its secrets, and showed us its beauties, but he also made us aware of its fascinating cultures and its most delicious dishes. He had infinite patience to take us shopping and show us the best markets. And to top it off, he became the best photographer, the best cameraman, and, why not, a great travel companion. Istanbul will never be the same without him!!! Never, ever hesitate to call him! He will undoubtedly change your experience!!

Berat is a charming young man with a friendly manner and demeanor; he posses a tremendous amount of historical and cultural knowledge which he conveyed to us in a casual yet thorough manner. Our experience with Murat was amazing. He is a great connoisseur of the city, we learned a lot from his side of history, culture and gastronomy of Istanbul. He was always very attentive to my parents and me. We were able to visit a lot of sites and thanks to our guide Murat we didn't have to queue anywhere. He was a lovely person at all times, adapting to the needs and capabilities of my family. Overall it's been great. Murat is not only a guide with in-depth knowledge of Istanbul, he is a person who connects with his clients and manages to generate a Mood of Trust as if he were a lifelong friend telling about the wonders of his city. Impossible not to highlight his command of Spanish. Very good.
You can't beat this affordable private tour. We learned very quickly that Istanbul is not a city you want to just explore on your own. Our guide saved us a lot of money... tourists get overcharged... even at museums. Our guide took us everywhere we wanted to go and had some great suggestions for other places. If there is one small critique... or really just a heads up to other tourists... he took us to a custom tile shop... which ended up just being an uncomfortable sales pitch to send a great deal of money. He also took us to a carpet shop... very nice... but again... another uncomfortable sales pitch to spend thousands on a rug.
