Visiting the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar was such a fun experience! Our guide was super helpful I found everything I was looking for and even discovered places I would have definitely missed on my own. Really thankful for the guidance, it made the whole trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Totally recommend!

I feel like such a fool going on this tour. I booked it for help navigating the bazaar and to make sure I avoided the tourist traps. Instead I was delivered to the tourist traps - with no help to bargain. I ended up paying 65 euro (approx $130 AUD) for a small box of Turkish delight, and felt pressured to buy bags which were so far out of my budget. I was jet lagged and am just kicking myself that I didn’t catch on earlier. On my later travels in Turkiye I learnt that this is often the case with bazaar tour guides and they get a commission for taking you to these tourist traps. It was a really disappointing start to my trip and I would definitely recommend you avoid. The bazaar is also not that confusing so I wouldn’t bother getting a guide. One star only because my guide did seem very nice, shared some history with me, and he did walk me to a good affordable restaurant once I said I was done shopping.
