Die Tour ist perfekt für alle, die nur kurz in Faial bleiben und nichts verpassen wollen. Die Tour führt Sie entlang der Südküste von Horta zum Vulkan Capelinhos mit mehreren Zwischenstopps. Auf dem Rückweg nehmen wir eine Nebenstraße hoch über den Dörfern. Je nach Wetterlage besuchen Sie entweder die Caldeira oder einige Aussichtspunkte oberhalb von Horta.
Das emblematische weiße Vulkangestein von Morro de Castelo Branco, das die meisten Besucher vielleicht kurz vor der Landung ihres Fluges entdeckt haben.
Varadouro ist ein kleiner Küstenort, der früher der Sommerurlaubsort der wohlhabenden Familien von Horta war, die dort ihren Sommerurlaub verbrachten. Heute ist es ein Wohngebiet mit einigen sehr beliebten natürlichen Schwimmbädern.
Der Vulkan Capelinhos an der Westspitze von Faial ist ein lebendiger Zeuge des aktiven Vulkanismus auf den Azoren. Es ist das Ergebnis einer Eruption, die von September 1957 bis Oktober 1958 andauerte, es war die letzte terrestrische Eruption auf den Azoren.
Die Caldeira do Cabeço Gordo ist eines der Wahrzeichen von Faial. Im Zentrum der Insel gelegen, ist er mit seinen 2 Kilometern Durchmesser und 400 Meter Tiefe der wohl beeindruckendste Krater der Azoren.

We had a wonderful half day tour with Andreas! He was extremely informative and we learned a lot about the island and life on the island. It was a rainy foggy day and he tried to work the route based on the weather so we could get the best views during the tour. Would highly recommend!
I highly recommend this tour. Andreas was our tour guide. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about Faial and the Azores. He picked my husband and I up at our hotel. He was right on time in a very comfortable vehicle. He always was quick to come around and open the doors for us. He took us to the most lovely and breathtaking sites, always explaining, in perfect English, the history of the location. Thank you, Andreas, for such an enjoyable and informative tour.

We did an excellent half day tour with Andreas. He's extremely knowledgeable about the island and a wonderful guide. He provided us with so much historical information, as well as information about life on the island. The island has a lot of variety. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and we never felt rushed. He also brought sandwiches, beer, and water, which we really appreciated! Highly recommended!

We were a family of 5 adults visiting the Azores for the first time. We booked a Full Day Private Tour of Faial and a Full day Private Tour of Pico with Visit Faial. Andreas was our guide. He picked us at our hotel promptly at the appointed time on both days. Andreas drove us around the island in his van, stopping to visit the places we had requested as well as the ones Andreas had suggested. On the second day he picked us up at our hotel again, drove us to the ferry and we all took the ferry to Pico for our second full day tour. He has a wealth of infortmation about the island which provided great background to what we were seeing. On both days we visited all the places we had requested and more as well. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with him on both days and he also had a basket with water and snacks for us in his van. The lunches were made by his wife and they were delicious. Andreas was fluent in English and he made our visit a very memorable one. He was dependable, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, polite, a good driver and an all round excellent tour guide! Recommend him 100%! He definitely went the extra mile.
