Genießen Sie eine Käse- und Weinprobe im Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate, eine Biltong- und Weinprobe im Marianne Wine Estate und eine Weinprobe im Babylonstoren. Beenden Sie den Tag mit einer Orientierungstour durch die Stadt Stellenbosch - die zweitälteste Stadt Südafrikas und Heimat von mehr als 200 Weingütern. Kurz nach der Abholung in Ihrer Unterkunft in Kapstadt fahren wir entlang der Nationalstraße N1 in Richtung Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate.
Bei unserer Ankunft im Weingut Fairview Wine and Cheese begleitet Sie Ihr Reiseleiter zum Weinverkostungsbereich. Bei einem Spaziergang zwischen den 4 Weinverkostungsstationen und dem köstlichen Käse- und Gewürz-Delikatessengeschäft haben Sie die Möglichkeit, sechs der besten Weine und Käsesorten dieser Region zu probieren. Wein und Käse können alle käuflich erworben werden.
Wir fahren ein kurzes Stück nach Babylonstoren. Vor der Kulisse der Berge Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof und Franschhoek gelegen, ist Babylonstoren eines der schönsten Weingüter in den Cape Winelands. Das Anwesen verfügt über einen Obst- und Gemüsegarten und ein „Farm-to-Table“-Restaurant namens Babel (Reservierung erforderlich). Es gibt zwei weitere Restaurants auf dem Anwesen, Greenhouse und The Bakery. Das Greenhouse serviert Mittagessen und Erfrischungen im Picknick-Stil, während die Bäckerei informelle Abendessen serviert. Wir verbringen eine Stunde mit einer Weinprobe mit 3 oder 7 der besten Weine, die bei Babylonstoren erhältlich sind.
Unser letzter Weingut-Stopp wird das Marianne Wine Estate sein. Marianne produziert einige der besten Rotweinsorten Südafrikas. Hier genießen wir eine Biltong- und Weinprobe. Marianne glaubt, dass Biltong (Trockenfleisch) den Geschmack ihres Weins verstärkt. Mariannes Floreal-Wein wurde von Küchenchef Gordon Ramsey anlässlich des 90. Geburtstags von Nelson Mandela im Buckingham Palace handverlesen.
Wir machen eine malerische Fahrt durch die Dorp Street in Stellenbosch, der zweitältesten Stadt Südafrikas, auf einer Fahrt durch die Stadt. Besuchen Sie die historischen Häuser im kapholländischen Stil und die berühmte Stellenbosch University.
Von dort machen wir uns auf den Weg zurück nach Kapstadt, um zwischen 14:00 und 14:30 Uhr zu Ihrer Unterkunft zu fahren

Gordon was an amazing tour guide and took us to some of the best wineries in Stellenbosch. We did not feel rushed and we were able to really soak in the experience. I highly recommend this half day tour if you’re looking to get out of the city and see some beautiful landscapes nearby.

We LOVED our tour guide, Ray who was so professional and informative, and the wine venues, themselves, were great. Viator, however, isn’t to be trusted with scheduling. We’ve only used them twice, in two different parts of the world, and they botched our schedules, both times. Go direct with local tour guides and bypass Viator if at all possible.

We had a wonderful day with our private driver- It was a last minute booking and the driver Thomas was so kind and fun! Very knowlegeable about wines and the area. He chose 3 different wineries - each had food (usually to purchase) and a lovely tasting. He would make sure that they would seat us right away by communicating with those in charge. I highly recommend this trip!

We visited 2 estates, Demorgenzen and Marianne. Both were pleasant and picturesque. Reagan was our friendly& well versed guide&driver, he shares some knowledge and history of the estates and we will definitely be back to visit more farms and ask for him by name.

We had the best day visiting Stellenbosch. Reagan was the best guide, with excellent local knowledge and kept us laughing throughout. We went to Demorganzan and marianne winery’s with a lovely stop off in Stellenbosch town in between, visiting the local museum. It was a perfect day out, with the nicest guide we could have asked for. Would highly recommend doing this tour and ask for Reagan!
