Der Al Alam Palace "Palast der Flagge" ist ein Palast in Old Muscat, Oman. Es wurde von Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said als zeremonieller Palast genutzt. Eine von sechs Sultansresidenzen des Monarchen hat eine über 200-jährige Geschichte und wurde unter der Aufsicht von Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, dem 7. direkten Großvater von Sultan Qaboos, erbaut.
Al Jalali Fort, oder Ash Sharqiya Fort, ist eine Festung im Hafen von Old Muscat, Oman. Die Festung wurde in den 1580er Jahren von den Portugiesen unter Philipp I. von Portugal erbaut, um den Hafen zu schützen, nachdem Muscat zweimal von osmanischen Truppen geplündert worden war. Es fiel 1650 an die omanischen Streitkräfte. Während der Bürgerkriege zwischen 1718 und 1747 wurde das Fort zweimal von Persern erobert, die eingeladen worden waren, einem der rivalisierenden Imame zu helfen. Die Festung wurde später umfassend umgebaut.
Fort Al-Mirani ist eine ursprünglich von den Portugiesen erbaute Festung im Hafen der Stadt Old Muscat im Oman.
Muttrah Fort ist eine historische Festung in Wilayat Muttrah in Maskat. Das Fort befindet sich in einer dominierenden Position auf den Hügeln mit Blick auf den natürlichen Hafen von Muttrah, was es zu einer ziemlich uneinnehmbaren Position gemacht hätte, um Muttrah vor Angriffen zu verteidigen und gleichzeitig die Beobachtung des umliegenden Territoriums von seinen Wachtürmen aus zu ermöglichen.
Als nächstes folgt Muttrah Souk, wo Sie verschiedene Souvenirs finden können, und Muttrah Souk, einer der ältesten Marktplätze im Oman, der zweihundert Jahre alt ist

Excellent whistle stop tour alloeing us to see many of the major tourist attractions in an afternoon. Our guide Jihad gave a great running commentary throughout with super knowledge of the cities history and answered all our searching questions. Highly recommend this actovity.

The tour was very well organized and truly interesting. Our guide Ali did an excellent work! In couple of hours he showed us so many nice places and talked about the history and present time of Muscat and Oman. He also provided us with local food and drinks! Absolutely recommended!

Amazing half-day afternoon tour of Muscat with our tour guide, Waleed. We visited the Royal Opera House Muscat, the Mutra Souq, the Sultan’s palace, the Grand Mosque as well as a wonderful scenic view of Muscat at night. Waleed was friendly and informative and was happy to make the afternoon and night a very comfortable and memorable experience. We definitely recommend this tour, especially if you are short on time. The photos don’t do Muscat justice but it’s definitely worth a place on your bucket list.

We were accompanied by Khalid Al Siyabi, who is the most fantastic tour guide possible ! He complied with our specific requests and even deviated slightly from the scheduled route to accommodate us with things we wanted to see. He is super interesting, knows the history of the country and city, and kept us fascinated with facts about every location and historical events. He is highly recommended !
