Dies ist eines der sieben Weltwunder. Der Legende nach war Kaiser Shahjehan vom Tod seiner Frau Mumtaz Mahal so betrübt, dass er beschloss, ihr ein Denkmal zu errichten, das in Schönheit und Größe unübertroffen sein würde. Mit einer riesigen Belegschaft von 20.000 Menschen dauerte es 21 lange Jahre, um dieses Meisterwerk zu vollenden. 1200 - 1330 Uhr Besichtigung des Agra-Forts Das Agra-Rot-Fort wurde um 1565 n. Chr. Vom großen Mogul-Herrscher Akbar entworfen und gebaut. Es wurde ursprünglich als militärische Einrichtung errichtet, später bauten seine Nachfolger das Hauptgebäude jedoch mehrfach aus. Mehrere Mahals, die später gebaut wurden, bauten die Hälfte des Gebäudes in einen prächtigen Palast um. Das Rote Fort in Agra umfasst einen Radius von drei Kilometern und wird von einer Mauer begrenzt, die 70 Fuß hoch ist. Zwei Mauern aus rotem Sandstein umgeben das Fort. Das Rote Fort hat vier Tore. In der Festung befanden sich weitere Gebäude, von denen jedoch nur einige bis heute erhalten sind. Das bedeutendste dieser verbliebenen Gebäude ist das Jahangiri Mahal. Ein mehrstöckiger Palast, der von Akbar für seinen Begum Jodha Bai erbaut wurde. Unter den anderen wichtigen Strukturen, die noch übrig sind, befinden sich der Mausam Burj, der Diwan-i-khas und der Shaha Burj. 1330 - 1430 Uhr Mittagspause 1500 - 1700 Uhr Freizeit Der Abend steht zur freien Verfügung oder Sie erkunden den Basar von Agra mit seinem reichen handwerklichen Erbe. In Agra gibt es viele lokale Kunsthandwerksläden in der Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Taj Mahal und dem Agra Fort. Insgesamt gibt es eine große Auswahl an Kunsthandwerk, von Marmorsouvenirs (berühmte Produkte von Agra) über traditionelle Tücher und Schals bis hin zu religiösen Darbietungen und Gemälden. Man kann dort das berühmteste Marmorhandwerk kaufen. 17.00 Uhr Transfer zum Bahnhof an Bord von Superfast Gatimaan Express Zug nach Delhi. 1930 Uhr Ankunft in Delhi. Unser Chauffeur holt Sie vom Bahnhof H Nizamuddin ab und bringt Sie zum Hotel. Ihre Tour endet mit schönen Erinnerungen an die Agra-Reise am selben Tag mit dem Zug (Gatimaan Express).

Great train experience, plenty of space, comfortable seats. Food was different but ok and a great way to travel to see other parts of India. Train staff got our suitcases read for when we had to get off at the correct stop.

Easy, smooth tour from Delhi to Agra. I was picked up from my hostel right on time, had a comfortable ride to Agra, and had a great tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. My tour guide was also a great photographer, haha! Afterwards, we went to a nice restaurant with authentic Indian food. It was great!

Our driver Ravi picked us up from the Railway station and welcomed us with a garland of flowers which is quite interesting and special. Then we visited the Taj mahal and enjoyed the beauty of the monument.

train trip is a great way to start. Our driver Rakesh picked us from the station and welcomed us with a flower garland, this thing makes us feel special.
