Sie werden von Ihrem Hotel in Hikkaduwa, Dodanduwa, Ginthota, Gale, Unawatuna, Alpe oder Koggala abgeholt und zum Besuch der ALTEN Niederländischen Festung Galeere gebracht. Das Fort wurde gebaut, um den Schutz und die Erhaltung der Stadt den Portugiesisch im frühen 16. Jahrhundert zu gewährleisten und dann von den Niederländisch im 17. Jahrhundert umfassend befestigt. Ursprünglich war das Fort eine irdene Struktur mit Palisaden, einer Wallanlage und drei Bastionen und einem sie umgebenden Wassergraben. Unter der Kontrolle der Niederländer bauten sie uneinnehmbare Befestigungsanlagen mit Korallen- und Granitsteinen und das Fort ähnelte einer kleinen, ummauerten Stadt mit einem rechteckigen Gitter aus Straßen voller niedriger Häuser mit Giebeln und Veranden.
Nächste Station ist Japanische Friedenspagode Die Friedenspagode auf dem Rumasalla Hill ist einer von drei buddhistischen Stupas in Sri Lanka. Stupas sind Denkmäler, die als Leuchtfeuer des Friedens für Menschen aller Nationalitäten und Glaubensrichtungen dienen, und das klare, abgerundete Design der Unawatuna-Pagode zeigt dies. Besucher können den schattigen Weg zur Friedenspagode gehen oder fahren und werden mit einer hoch aufragenden, weißen Glocke belohnt, die von goldbemalten Statuen umgeben ist. Stufen führen auch zu einem Gehweg, der den Schrein umgibt und einen 360-Grad-Blick auf den Dschungel und die Bucht bietet.
stieg hinunter in Richtung des wahren Ziels Ihres Tagesausflugs — Jungle Beach. Keine weitere Person in Sicht, nur Zwillingsstrecken von verlassenem Sand zwischen Ozean und Rumassala Rock eingeschlossen. Nachdem wir gerade die seelenzerreißende Lahmheit von Unawatuna erlebt hatten, war dieser Strand genau das, was wir brauchten. Ruhe, Einsamkeit und wunderschöne Natur.
Stelzenfischen ist eine der interessantesten traditionellen Fischereimethoden Sri Lankas. Aufzeichnungen zeigen, dass es kurz nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg entstand. Dieser Fischereimodus war bis zum Tsunami im Jahr 2004 an der gesamten Küste weit verbreitet, was dazu führte, dass solche Aktivitäten bis in die letzten Jahre vorübergehend eingestellt wurden. Der schöne Anblick von Fischern thront auf verzweigten Stangen, während sie gekonnt in der Morgen-, Mittags- und Abenddämmerung fischen; kann jetzt allgemein entlang der Südküste in Städten wie Koggala sein.
Unser nächster Halt ist Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery. Die Brüterei, die von Einzelpersonen direkt am Strand betrieben wird, um Schildkröteneier zu konservieren, die am breiten langen Strand bis zu den Hotels in Koggala gelegt werden. Schnabel-, Holzfäller- und Grünschildkröten schmiegen sich hier an.
Flüge nach Sri Lanka Entspannen Sie am weltberühmten Unawatuna Beach, einem der schönsten goldenen Sandstrände an Sri Lankas Südküste. Umgeben von Palmen und ruhigem türkisfarbenem Wasser lädt diese Bucht zum Schwimmen, Sonnenbaden und Erleben der entspannten tropischen Atmosphäre ein. Genießen Sie Freizeit, um entlang der Küste zu spazieren, Fotos zu machen, in den sanften Wellen zu schwimmen oder sich in einem Café am Strand zu entspannen. Unawatuna ist bekannt für seine sicheren Badebedingungen und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang.

Sometimes, these reviews are about the wonderful place you visited. Other times, it is about your guide. When the two combine, you have a truly memorable excursion. To start, we had the most wonderful guide. Great sense of humor, the ability to understand when his elderly tourists were wearing out and the wisdom to put unscheduled stops into the “walk around Galle Fort.” The Japanese Peace Pagoda, the stilt fishermen (yes, we know they no longer make their living by fishing this way - they make their money off us taking pictures of them), the Kosgodda Turtle Rescue group, Galle Fort and a half dozen little places we visited because our guide said we would enjoy them (and no, they were NOT high priced tourist marts) like a Sri Lankan cemetery (because my brother is a funeral director and he loves us sending photos of cemeteries in other places). All in all, one of our best Viator tours.

We only had half a day of spare time and this private tour led by Milan was perfect! We enjoyed the walks of scenery and educational talk at the sea turtle sanctuary quite a lot. The beaches and the sea are truly breathtaking. This trip suits couples and family who'd like to travel in their own pace.

Milan was a wonderful guide! My children and I absolutely loved this private tour. Everything was organized perfectly and at a very relaxed pace, which was ideal for traveling with kids. The silent fishing experience was a real highlight for the children - my daughter was so excited to try it themselves. We also visited a turtle farm, where we learned a lot about these amazing animals and even got to see baby turtles. At the end of the day, we visited the Dutch Fort and watched a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect way to finish the tour. Milan was very kind, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. Really very good tour with a charming guide, Milan. Took us to all the good sites in the area and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to take us to an antiques shop for in a remote part of Galle and in general he was very obliging. Can recommend.

Mila the guide was very friendly, great English and very knowledgeable with a good car. I got to experience everything that’s listed, although the turtle sanctuary is a big cramped. Galle fort is amazing but I was staying there anyway so I think I could have organised the same trip locally for less money.
