Rose Hall ist ein jamaikanisch-georgianisches Plantagenhaus, das heute als historisches Hausmuseum geführt wird. Es befindet sich in Montego Bay, Jamaika mit Panoramablick auf die Küste. Es galt als eines der beeindruckendsten Plantagenhäuser des Landes und war in den 1960er Jahren in Schutt und Asche, wurde dann aber restauriert.
Falmouth ist die Hauptstadt der Gemeinde Trelawny auf Jamaika. Es liegt an der Nordküste Jamaikas 30 km östlich von Montego Bay. Sie gilt als eine der am besten erhaltenen georgischen Städte der Karibik. 1769 von Thomas Reid gegründet, florierte Falmouth vierzig Jahre lang als Marktzentrum und Hafen, zu einer Zeit, als Jamaika der weltweit führende Zuckerproduzent war.[1] Es wurde nach Falmouth, Cornwall im Vereinigten Königreich, dem Geburtsort von Sir William Trelawny, dem Gouverneur von Jamaika, benannt, der maßgeblich an seiner Gründung beteiligt war. Die Stadt wurde von Anfang an akribisch geplant, mit breiten Straßen in einem regelmäßigen Raster, ausreichender Wasserversorgung und öffentlichen Gebäuden. Es hatte früher als New York City Wasser geleitet.
Die Green Grotto Caves sind Schauhöhlen und eine prominente Touristenattraktion an der Nordküste Jamaikas. Benannt nach den Grünalgen, die ihre Wände bedecken,[3] unterscheidet sich die Struktur der Höhle auffallend von Systemen im Landesinneren; die Höhle ist eine Flank Margin Cave (alte Mischkammern am Rand der Süßwasserlinse mit dem Meerwasser) mit zwei gut definierten Ebenen, die anscheinend auf zwei Perioden mit unterschiedlichen Meeresspiegeln hinweisen.[1] Die innerste Höhle enthält einen kristallklaren unterirdischen See.[3] Neben den öffentlich zugänglichen Abschnitten der Höhle gibt es auch einen Abschnitt der „wilden Höhlen“ mit relativ ungestörter Ökologie.[1] Hydrologisch ist das Höhlensystem mit den angrenzenden Küstengewässern verbunden
Am 4. Mai 1494 erreichte Christoph Kolumbus die Insel Jamaika. Der Columbus Park in Discovery Bay markiert den Ort, an dem Columbus seinen Fuß gesetzt haben soll, als er zum ersten Mal nach Jamaika kam. Dieser kleine Park ist mit Kanonen und maritimen Artefakten dekoriert und ein starker Touristensammler von allen Orten, die sich für die Geschichte Jamaikas interessieren. Columbus Park ist ein attraktiver 1,2 Hektar großer Garten in der malerischen Discovery Bay in der Gegend von St. Ann. Discovery Bay, einer der landschaftlich schönsten Naturhäfen der Karibik, wurde 1947 umbenannt, um an den Ort zu erinnern, an dem einst angenommen wurde, dass Christoph Kolumbus zum ersten Mal auf jamaikanischem Boden seinen Stempel aufdrückte.

Our tour was top-notch from start to finish. Mr. Winston arrived early for our pickup and was courteous, engaging, and informative throughout the 6 hour tour. We prefer private tours to avoid crowds and to get the most out of the experience and we weren't disappointed. Our family of four had more than enough room to spread out in the vehicle, although it was an older model van with less amenities. Our kids were able to sleep on the 2 hour drive from MoBay to Blue Hole and back from Dunn's Rivers Falls, however my husband and I preferred chatting with Mr. Winston about Jamaica. We were lucky enough to be able to visit both Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls without crowds. Mr. Winston passed us off to guides he knew were fair and truly helpful, which made our experience all the better. We never had to wait for him and felt more than comfortable leaving our belongings in his care. Mr. Winston is a WEALTH of knowledge. He shared facts about the island, including food sources and bush medicine plants we passed on the drive. We stopped at Scotchie's to have lunch and asked him to join us, which he did. He gave us even more wisdom about Jamaican cuisine and culture. The price was more than fair for the experience we had. The best part was, as a chef, being educated and instructed on the foodways of Jamaica by a wise man. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, especially if you're blessed to have Mr. Winston as your guide.

Winston was an absolutely perfect tour guide. The trip ran smoothly with no unwanted surprises. His vehicle was clean and comfortable. The blue hole and Dunn’s climb were epic, and we especially loved the stop off at Scotchies for Jerk Chicken. If you’re on a cruise, like us, avoid the cruise organised tours! We used TOUR JAMAICA TODAY to have our own tour guide take us to the blue hole in ocho rios from Montego Bay during our Carnival cruise stop. It was easy from beginning to end! Winston, the owner, had great reviews on facebook. Messaged him weeks ahead and he replied with all the info promptly. Very responsive, friendly, and professional. He sent Leslie C. to be our driver for the day. And Leslie was wonderful! Super knowledgeable about Jamaica history! We felt very safe with him and learned so much! He picked us up and dropped us off on time. He was very responsible on the road. They drive crazy there! And he's such a great guy! Winston assured me we'd be in good hands and we were!! Car was clean. Had AC. He took us to get legit Jamaican food! Was very aware of the time. Everyone tells you jamaica is dangerous and you shouldn't book outside of the cruise excursions, but Leslie C was so awesome! We are so blessed Tour Jamaica today took such good care of us!!
