Nicht weit von Colombo entfernt lockt Sigiriya mit seiner beeindruckenden alten Felsenfestung. Sigiriyas Löwenfelsen erhebt sich dramatisch aus den flachen Ebenen und ist ein UNESCO-Kulturerbe und ein Zeugnis der alten Zivilisation Sri Lankas.
