This was my second tour I booked with Rocky from Cholo Bangladesh Tours. I asked for Rabbi as tour guide again as I was very happy with the photographer tour two days earlier. This tour is a must when you come to Dhaka. Ancient city ruines and the 500 years old mosque are something special. Hard to find somewhere else. The island is a peaceful place without the traffic hassle of Dhaka. No cars, no bikes, no rickshaws! The buildings are different and stunning. And the people are gorgeous as everwhere in Bangladesh! Just the drive to those places is exciting! A must do!
Thank you for traveling with Cholo Bangladesh Tours again. We’re happy to know that you enjoyed exploring Bangladesh’s ancient history, stunning architecture, and peaceful island life beyond Dhaka. Your trust and support mean a lot to us, and we look forward to creating more unforgettable experiences for you.
I took a day trip with Nuhash on my first day in Bangladesh. I liked him and enjoyed it so much that I booked another day trip and asked for him. We did everything on the itinerary and more. We went to a fantastic place for lunch where locals go. Great food fast, no wasting time. The car was clean and drivers were good. I highly recommend this company!
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your time with Cholo Bangladesh Tours and that your experience was so seamless. It’s great to hear you loved the authentic lunch spot and smooth arrangements. Your recommendation means a lot to us. Hope to welcome you again!
A brilliant trip that really highlights the beauty and history of Bangladesh. Panam City is obviously the highlight, and is simply stunning but we also loved the boat trip across the Meghna River to see a glimpse of picturesque village life. Poddo was an excellent guide, funny, informative and professional. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see more of Bangladesh outside of Dhaka.
Thank you for sharing this lovely review! Panam City and the Meghna River villages truly show a different side of Bangladesh, and we’re glad the experience resonated with you. It’s wonderful to hear the tour felt both enjoyable and insightful. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back for more journeys beyond Dhaka!
Rabbi was my guide for this excellent day trip outside the bustle of central Dhaka. The driver was also great, very safe and attentive. We saw all the things on the itinerary with plenty of time at each place for me to spend on photographing (a lot, lol) and learning from Rabbi about what I was seeing. The lunch as well was awesome, such a local style experience in a restaurant clearly NOT catered to tourists that I would never have found if I had been touring by myself. This day trip tour is perfect if you have limited time in Dhaka but want to get outside the city and see some historical sights and rural life as well. Overall a great way to fit in a large number of sights and also have some truly unique experiences such as the local island village in a single day. Thanks Rabbi for the informative and unique perspective on the history of Bangladesh and life outside the city! And having all entry fees and the lunch included in the price of the tour is soooo helpful, saving the hassle of needing to carry a lot of local cash. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see some of Bangladesh outside Dhaka in a very convenient and time-saving way!
Thank you for this detailed and generous review! We’re delighted that your day in Sonargaon felt smooth, informative, and full of genuine local experiences. Exploring rural life, historic sites, and hidden local restaurants is exactly what makes this trip special, and we’re glad it matched your expectations. Including lunch and entry fees is our way of keeping things easy for travelers. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back!
Lovely day trip to Sonargaon and Panam. Very pretty / beautiful to visit and Rocky was a great guide and organised everything perfectly. Boat ride to the river island was also a lovely experience and the visit to the village was also something unique. Highly recommend!

Rocky and his team were fantastic. Everything on the tour was quite interesting and should not be missed if you visit Bangladesh. Rocky is very knowledgeable and organized. We are leaving Bangladesh with a greater understanding of the country’s rich culture and history. I highly recommend Rocky and Cholo Bangladesh Tours.

Our team is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences, and it’s wonderful to know that each part of the journey left a lasting impression. Thank you for your warm recommendation—knowing you found the tour memorable means a lot to us. We hope to welcome you back to explore even more of Bangladesh in the future!
After an excellent tour of Old Dhaka and Dhaka City the day before, this tour was an excellent way to build on what we already learned about Bangladesh and Dhaka. We left the busy city center and explored the wonderful Arts and Crafts museum and the sites around Sonargoan, the former medieval capital of Bengal. After a fascinating tour of Panam city, abandoned by Hindu merchants in the 19th Century, we had relaxing boat ride across the Meghna River, which took us to Mayadeep, locally known as "Nolchor", an island at the heart of the river. Here we saw some of the island’s village homes. This tour was excellent and Rocky, our guide and owner of the tour company, made sure that we were enjoying every moment.
I'm thrilled to hear that your tour of Sonargaon & Panam City was both enriching and enjoyable! It’s wonderful to know that exploring the Arts and Crafts Museum, the historical Panam City, and the serene surroundings of Mayadeep added layers to your understanding of Bangladesh’s rich history and vibrant culture. Sharing these unique sites, especially the peaceful boat ride across the Meghna River, was a joy. Your appreciation means a lot, and it was my pleasure to make sure every moment was memorable for you. Thank you for being such enthusiastic travelers, and we hope to see you again on future adventures!
Wow. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the time we spent with Rocky and Cholo Bangladesh tours. Punctual, well organised’ knowledgeable, speaks great English….he guided us through the chaos of Dhaka without missing a beat. We were a little concerned as we traveled not long after street protests forced the Prime Minister to flee the country but we had zero problems. If anything people were too friendly. As white folks we really stood out in Bangladesh and people were always- shyly and politely- asking if they could take a picture with us. Felt like rock stars. Adding to that a business oriented TV channel followed us around for a day while working on a story about tourism. Rocky’s tour company uses several different on-line guide platforms so we inadvertently booked him twice. But we are glad we did. An evening food tour in Dhaka was more than memorable as was our visit to a river island village. And we will never forget the visit to a busy ship repair yard and the herd of goats that hangs out there. Don’t get me wrong. Dhaka is noisy, dirty, polluted, poor and the traffic is a crazy mix of buses, trucks, cars and bicycle rickshaws. It is also vibrant, friendly and rich in history. We didn’t go there to chill on the beach (though Bangladesh boasts the longest continuous sand beach in the world at nearly 100 miles) but to experience the sights, sounds, smells and culture of a new country. Our thanks to Rocky for making that happen. And speaking of crazy traffic, a shout out to Shahabudin, Rocky’s driver, for doing an amazing job!
Thank you so much for the great review! It was a pleasure to share Bangladesh with you and I’m glad you enjoyed your time in Dhaka. We enjoyed showing you around the city, the streets, the historic sites, and the ship repair yard. I know Dhaka can be overwhelming but I’m glad we could show you the people and culture of the city even in the midst of all the chaos. You were an adventurous soul to travel with and Shahabudin will love your comments about his driving skills! See you next time!
This is a great option for tours within Bangladesh - reasonable price, Rocky is great to talk to, good fleet of cars, efficient itinerary that covers lots of sites. Definitely recommend

I did a 2 day tour with Rocky . It was excellent. Good communication throughout, from booking process till end. Everything was online , well planned and executed. I am vegetarian and he was able to find food for me . Rocky is knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. He made the best itinerary for me considering I had only 2 days and number of attractions were closed . I would highly recommend taking any or all tours with him in Bangladesh.
Thank you for visiting Bangladesh with Cholo Bangladesh Tours. We had a great time with you. Hope to see you again.
