Bitte beachten Sie: Freitags ist die Blaue Moschee bis 14.30 Uhr wegen Gebets geschlossen, der Eintritt ist nicht gestattet. Die Sultan-Ahmet-Moschee (auch als Blaue Moschee bekannt) ist eines der berühmtesten Denkmäler der türkischen und der islamischen Welt. Die Moschee hat sechs hoch aufragende Minarette und 260 Fenster, die die große Hauptkammer erhellen, die mit mehr als 20.000 Iznik-Kacheln verziert ist.
Das Hippodrom war einst das Herz von Konstantinopels politischem und sportlichem Leben und Schauplatz von Spielen und Unruhen in 500 Jahren osmanischer Geschichte. Heute ist es ein Stadtpark, der wegen seiner Funktion in der osmanischen Zeit At Meydanı (Pferdehof) genannt wird. Zum Hippodrom gehört der 3500 Jahre alte ägyptische Granitobelisk, der 390 n. Chr. Von Kaiser Theodosius nach Konstantinopel gebracht wurde.
Topkapi, der größte und älteste Palast der Welt, war das Kronjuwel des Osmanischen Reiches. Mit seiner Schatzkammer und den exotischen Gebäuden mit Blick auf das Goldene Horn verspricht Ihr Besuch in Topkapi ein wirklich faszinierendes Erlebnis zu werden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Topkapi-Palast dienstags geschlossen ist.
Es wurde in Deutschland gebaut und per Schiff transportiert und der Bau wurde in Istanbul abgeschlossen.
Der Obelisk des Theodosius war eines der Denkmäler auf der Spina des Hippodroms von Konstantinopel während der Herrschaft von Theodosius I. im Jahr 390.
Die Hagia Irene im Außenhof des Topkapı-Palastes ist die älteste Kirche des Oströmischen Reiches (byzantinisch).

We took this tour on our first day in Istanbul (a few days ago). Our guide was kind, informative, and so funny! Very easy to talk to. She answered all of our questions, even my irrelevant ones (how to say “thank you” in Turkish, safety tips, etc). I really enjoyed her company and she made the tour so much fun! The order we did things in was perfect in my opinion, and the hand-knotted rug demonstration was such a cool unique experience that I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own. Loved it!!

The highlight of my trip to Istanbul. Our tour guide, Seckin D. Was beyond our expectations. He knew every answer to our questions and went way beyond any guide we’ve ever had. He spoke perfect English and understood very well. I told him “I think you’re American”! Yes, that perfect! He knew more about Americans than most American do! You won’t be disappointed.

The location of the palace so close to the mosque and the exhibits were great! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared very interesting information.
